Digital Leisure, a publisher of interactive video-based titles, has announced the coming release of Dragon’s Lair, the classic 1983 laserdisc video arcade game. The game will become the first-ever interactive title ever to be released for the Blu-ray Disc HD format using the Blue-ray Java environment.

The much speculated about revision to the XBOX 360 seems to be pretty much a reality. The soon-to-be replacement for the XBOX 360 Premium system, the XBOX 360 Elite has been spotted on the production line straight from a factory in China. It’s possible that the XBOX 360 Elite is now closer to reality than previously thought.

STALKER (aka STALKER: Shadows of Chernobyl) was released last week and the reviews are pouring in. When all is said and done what we have here is an excellent first person shooter that blends elements of role playing games and adds immersive environments. These elements are unique considering it is a first person shooter.

Microsoft has strung together a strong line of Xbox Live Arcade releases for four consecutive weeks with Alien Hominid HD, Worms, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. For its fifth week, Microsoft announced that Jetpac Refuelled will be headed to the Xbox 360 Live Arcade next Wednesday March 28th.

Long time XBOX and XBOX 360 only titles, Halo 2 and Gears of War will be making their debut on PCs very soon. But users should know what the catch is that you need to be running a version of Vista in order to play Halo 2. Halo 2 will not be released for earlier versions of Windows such as XP or 2000; the reasons are not very obvious.

Supposedly, a revision to the XBOX 360 is coming. It is to be known as the Elite XBOX 360, will come in and black (black is just cooler) and is to be released in limited quantities. So if this is true, you’d better pick them up while they last. It is also going to pack in more features (but not so much to justify the higher price) than that old regular XBOX 360.

Registration for a closed multiplayer beta of the upcoming Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 (GRAW 2) on PC will begin in early April 2007, according to videogame publisher Ubisoft.
