PS3 kills XBOX 360, feels no remorse

By Jonathan Schlaffer

PS3 kills XBOX 360, feels no remorse It’s a conspiracy and it’s going to only get worse from here. A PS3 has just knowingly and willingly plotted the execution style killing of a XBOX 360 by incinerating it to death. No charges have been filed against the offending PS3 or Sony but I think there should be.

There are no secrets regarding how warm the PS3 gets if it is not well ventilated so if you have a PS3 make sure it is not too confined and has plenty of air circulation around it. That’s nothing to say of putting a XBOX 360 and a PS3 in the same space or on the same shelf, I do not recommend that and BY NO MEANS operate both AT THE SAME TIME or the PS3 will begin planning the downfall of your XBOX 360.

John Davidson has children. Children and electronics don’t mix well but that’s not the point. By some means when his kids started playing games both the XBOX 360 and PS3 turned on. He says that the XBOX 360 has been operated in a closed entertainment center for hours without problems but with the PS3 awake, conscious and barely self aware, it recognized the threat of the XBOX 360.

The PS3 began to generate untold amounts of heat which had nowhere to go, the XBOX 360 tried its best to keep cool by operating every fan it could, it was not enough, the PS3 eventually won the battle and killed the XBOX 360 which can only display the “red ring of death” now.

Note to self; don’t have kids that will destroy my expensive stuff. Or… just make sure there aren’t doors on the entertainment center that can be closed, that’ll work too.

    1. Mark:

It’s not diffucult to kill a 360, it’s a unrelaible and noisy hunk of junk, at the best of times…

    2. Steve:

I like how you spin a(nother) 360 failure, into a PS3 problem.. Can’t you admit the 360 is just unreliable junk?

    3. Ian:

The Xbox 360 is the system that overheats, if you put the PS3 in an area with no ventilation it will start putting out warm air, but the 360 is the system that burns your house down if you leave it on for a couple of hours. I think it would be more accurate to say ‘X-Box 360 kills itself’.

    4. Tez:

Yet another stupid trollish article from this obviously anti-sony site. For your information, I have both 360 and PS3 and the 360 generates more heat and is much more well known for faults and breakdowns, look at these new “elites”, they are breaking down like I dont know what. Ps3 is the best console build wise this gen.

    5. johny bravo:

What happens to all these broken 360’s? They’re reconditioned and sold as new, only to fail again. Thus creating a 2′nd ring of death.

    6. numonex:

Ok. first off the 360 was on first so it would have been hotter to start with. second this article is the stupidest thing I ever read. I have an intercooler on my 360, I bet it would kick the living shit out of the PS3.

    7. who cares:

Why don’t you just put it in the freezer?

    8. ps3istrash:

      LMFAO!!! ps3 is trash HAHAHAHA

    9. Mark:

      @ps3istrash

Funny, as it’s the 360 that usually ends up in the trash, due it it’s massive failure rate….

    10. Duane:

This “Massive Failure Rate” nonsense about the 360 is pure rubbish. Everytime I talk to someone (at least 50 people now) about the 360 not ONE has experience the ring of death….funny how only internet poser have….

    11. chad:

      ha xbox suxs

    12. Natasha:

I used to work in a certain game shop and the amount of 360’s returned scared me.This was on a regular basis, not just launch.

    13. Bliz:

wow look at all the PS3 fanboys… I have both and I really wanted to like the PS3 more… but the graphics and Live aspect of the 360 have the PS3 beat.. :/

    14. Bill:

Wow, another anti-Sony artile on X-b…I mean, tech-blorge. I did’nt see this coming!

    15. Hugh:

What the hell? Ok why is this in the news section this should be considered as spam. Also mentally disabled people should not be allowed to use computers.

    16. PS3 fan boy:

Lighten up guys, Jonathan is obviously having some fun with a very amusing story.

Please note — the PS3 did not fail — it was the Xbox that couldn’t take the heat.

At least it’s good to see the PS3 kicking some soft Xbox arse. Ha Ha. I hope more PS3s melt Xboxs sharing their accomodation.

    17. Rock on:

Rock on Sony PS3 fanboys! A friend of mine bought a Xbox 360, played it for 3 hours and boom, Red ring of death!

    18. anonymous:

I thought the red ring of death was something you got from eating too many chili peppers

    19. Steve:

Shame Sony fanboys have to push this ring of death conspiracy instead of having some good games to brag about.

Natasha, “oow i used to work in this game shop” yer right! how come every Sony fanboy/girl used to work in a gameshop or “my mate works in a game shop and he/she said…”

I know a total of 16 friends, family & workmates with 360’s not 1 single problem or scratched disc. I know about the same number who have Wii’s, no problems there either and i know 3 people with PS3’s with no problems (apart from having no good games to play) but this does not suprise me as the failure rate for consoles is not more than a few % unless you wanna believe every fanboy online works for Game and tells the truth.

I’ll be buying a 360 myself later in the year but i’m no fanboy, my last console was the PS2. I choose my purchases not on mindless loyalty & fanboyism but on it’s ability to play the most entertaining games at the most reasonable price.

I’ve already seen 2 article’s claiming “ring of death” and “disc scratching” on the 360 Elite, both were PROVED to be fake, guess it just shows how desperate some fanboys are to justify spending all that extra cash on a system that’s losing all it’s exclusives and a year behind the competition.

    20. Nick:

yeah, steve i call the good games, Lair, Resistence fall and rise of man, and GTA IV (cancelled on the 360 due to its LACK of power), this is complete crap. the ps3 runs quieter and has more power than the stupud 360. Alos, y would u pay soooo much money for xbox live, when u can get it 4 free on the ps3?????

    21. thomas:

      GTA IV

    22. thomas:

GTA IV was not cancelled for 360, its coming out for sure. i saw the trailer and it looks awesome so stop talking GIMP.

    23. UrivaledSHOGUN:

Nick, xbox live is so much better than ps3’s online service(psn). PSN tries to be like Xbox live and it fails, miserably. Xbox Live on the original xbox back in 2002 was better than that psn on ps3 now. Also, xbox live has 6 times more people. And why would you payt more for a ps3 when 360 has way more and better games?

    24. Ptolemy says:

There are pro’s and conn’s too both… for now the 360 is king for all the important aspects of gaming in this generation… I tell you the truth… both companines are holding more gaming technology off the market than either sony or microsoft is willing to put on the market… so the real losers are the consumers that are paying way too much for way too little improvement. trully I am hardly impressed with either console. don’t believe the hype.

    25. Gene from Russia:

a X360 generates a lot of more noise and heat then a ps3
But it is true that it is impossible to keep both working on the same shelf - a X360 will hang pretty soon while ps3 will never do

    26. Gene from Russia:

and according to my opinion this article is pretty stinky - I have both consoles so reality differs from this article

    27. paul:

ok your ps3 looks like a fucking geogre foreman grill.and how many great games has the 360 got gears of war plus you loseing out on all the excluesive coz the 360 getting them all ha ha.and theres only 88,000 ps3 being sold microsoft whiping sony arse good style.ive had no red ring of death and no overheating or scrathed disc and had 360 for a year.sony just piss people off with stuff

    28. Bill:

Paul, please pay attention during English class tomorrow.

    29. D:

So…instead of arguing about the systems, why don’t you just I don’t know…play them? Sounds like that’d be easier for everyone.

    30. bleedonyou:

ok the 360 has been out for alomost tow fucken years, you cant say anything about the ps3 not having any good games cuz in a couple of moths the ps3 will have better fucken games then the 360 will ever have. 30% of 360 fails wow i would’t pay worth a shit for a 360

    31. R_07:

To sum the Xbox up, it’s got great graphics (have to admit that) and some nice games. But whats the point in buying good games to play, when the Xbox seems to transform into a microwave for most people….
Sony’s PS3 still has yet to kick off properly, and even then has great games. Its more powerful, and I think the better console in the long run. The only people that buy Xbox’s are the people that take games too seriously, and need to get a life.
All you Xbox nerds can brag for now, but when it dies on you, and leaves you in tears, don’t say we didn’t tell you.

      PS3 4 life!!

    32. Dominic Chan:

hey guys. i would get ps3 cuz its more reliable and has more better games in 2008. As well, we are getting free network service and this program called Home, which is a interactive network where you express how you would want to live. Besides, who would want to pay for xbox live especially when you have payed like $300~$500 for it? I mean seriously, that is a rip just to connect to the network to play with friends. Anyways, I would prefer a Wii or PS3 because both are interesting and fun in many ways. Besides, the 360 does not have a good range of games. Come on, people around the world don’t just like to play shooting games, they like to play puzzle games, rpg games, educational games, and also adventure games. Xbox 360 surely falls in those selecations while the other consoles fills in the catergories.
