Warhawk launch delayed until August 30th
…for those on the other side of the pond that is. Us Americans still get it today, but the PAL region won’t get it for another couple of days.
It turns out the reason is that the American Playstation Network store updates occur on Tuesdays and the PAL region store updates occur on Thursdays, so PS3 wielding gamers from Britain and beyond will have to wait until then.
ThreeSpeech, the semi-owned by Sony Playstation blog, has issued the following statement on Sony’s behalf:
"We have just received information that the next PS Store update, which will contain Warhawk, will be Thursday 30th August and not Tuesday 28th August as previously announced. As you know Thursday is the usual day for our PS Store refresh. We are sorry for any inconvenience that the extra 48 hours wait may cause."
The blog doesn’t say whether the disc version of the game will be available in stores, but I don’t think it will since it doesn’t mention that as a compensation. If you’re a Euro gamer and you’ve seen the game in stores, please let us know.
