DualShock 3: PS3 controller with rumble is official
Looks like our woman on the inside was right when she said, "I saw the new PS3 controller and it rumbles, because Sony just announced the new PS3 controller will indeed shake like the classic DualShock 2.
According to Cnet, the DualShock 3, as it’s known, was announced at this year’s Tokyo Game Show by Kaz Hirai, the Sony Computer Entertainment President himself. The controller will maintain its motion sensing abilities and will rumble just like the good ol’ PS2 controller, but not all the rumors were true.
Some speculated the new controller will have advanced rumbling capabilities, such as the ability to vibrate a single button or perhaps just one section of the controller. Those rumors, for now, aren’t true, and it’s not known if Sony will develop or is developing such a peripheral.
Both Devil May Cry 4 and Metal Gear Solid 4 are part of the first 11 games that will make your new controller shake. Some current titles will also support the rumbling controller if "patched" via software update.
Hirai also announced that "Sony will be reducing PS3 manufacturing costs by making the console’s semiconductors smaller and reducing the number of components in the system." This further supports that Sony is indeed working on the $399.99 40GB Playstation 3.
Now what I want to know is: Why doesn’t Sony get to doing something really useful, like getting Capcom to release Marvel vs. Capcom 3?

you mean the current ps3 controllers don’t rumble? I was under the impression that all the new console controllers rumble… they really charging that much for a system that comes with a ‘troller that don’t rumble? I need that numbness of hands from constant rumble feature or it just doesnt feel like modern gaming… also how else am I gonna combine my self pleasure and gaming into one… wink wink, nudge.
