How to get an Xbox 360 and Halo 3 for free, other deals for this week
I’ve come across a couple pretty good deals recently, and they’re a little better than the 50% extra trade in credit GameStop deal I posted as of late. The first one makes you the proud owner of an Xbox 360 and Halo 3 for free.
But you have to buy a TV in the process. The great folks at CheapAssGamer found this one, which gives you $410 off your entire purchase when you buy a certain Samsung DLP TV, any Xbox 360 console, and either the Halo 3 Limited Edition or the standard Halo 3 game. Since I’ve worked electronic retail before, I know that these TVs are most likely last year’s models and they want to move them out before they get then new ones. I guess if you’re looking for the latest and greatest, this isn’t the way to go, but such a time is always a great time to buy if you’re looking to save some dough.

CheapAssGamer comes through again with this one, which nets you the 120GB Xbox 360 hard drive for for $140 with free shipping and no sales tax. When you consider this purchase as just a purchase of a hard drive, it’s a rip off, but since you can’t use any other hard drive with the 360 and it usually goes for $180, I guess you can consider it a good deal.
