The Wii and Xbox 360 are currently battling hard to stay at the top of the hardware sales charts, while the PS3 battles to hang on to their coattails, but according to Sega, the fight isn’t over yet, and the Playstation 3 could end up trouncing the Xbox 360 and Wii.

Amazon.com are stopping just short of offering gamers winning Lotto tickets, but are offering the closest thing to console-buying heaven with systems at significantly less than half price. It’s the Amazon Customer Survey, and it’ll be interesting to see if their site survives the inevitable rush.

In a recent interview, Nintendo of America’s marketing chief George Harrison let it known that while production factories are making about 1.8 million units per month this isn’t enough to cover this seasons expected demand.

Those of you who are regular readers of Blorge and the Gamer site especially should know that I am no fan of the Wii. But, in somewhat of a roundtable discussion we had today, I discovered how Nintendo could make the Wii more attractive to those who are currently “turned off” to it.

In news that Sony executives have been praying nightly for, the PS3 outsold the Wii in Japan from Nov 5th-11th. Even better for the beleaguered console, it wasn’t the result of price cuts or satanic rituals, but an honest to goodness game people wanted to play.

The three consoles are all gearing up for the biggest Christmas showdown, possibly in history, or since last year at least. And it looks like this could be the holiday season of the Nintendo Wii… no surprise there. But will the Xbox 360 really be able to outsell the PS3 by 2 units to 1?

Could this be the first time in a console generation war where no one company and platform emerges as the dominant winner? Konami certainly believes so, insisting in a recent statement that none of the big three consoles of PS3, Wii and Xbox 360 will beat the others outright.
