Microsoft are taking a page from Nintendo’s very popular Virtual Console book, with an upcoming Xbox update set to allow full original Xbox titles to be downloaded from Xbox Live. These titles are expect to cost ~ $15 (1200 Microsoft Points).

Getting a game into the top ten for any system is great news. Getting all ten is an achievement. Getting all ten with different variations on a single first-party character is a sign of a serious lack of support.

Well, at least according to Mark Rein, Epic’s vice president. Rein claims that the upcoming Unreal Tournament 3 on the PS3 “pushes the graphics bar up even higher than Gears of War”, which was a phenomenal success on the Xbox 360 when it was released this time last year.

In the second of what is no doubt going to be many rounds with Sony, one PS3 owner is having a not so good time in dealing with Sony and getting his PS3 repaired because of too much dust.

Sony CEO Howard Stringer admitted that their Blu-Ray format is in a ‘stalemate’ with Microsoft endorsed HD-DVD. And when a company as psychopathically unable to admit defeat as "I’ll give you $2000 for any PS3 you find on the shelves" Sony confesses to a draw, the reality must make a cruise on the Titanic look like a success story.

President and CEO of Ubisoft, Yves Guillemot believes that the PS3 and Xbox 360 are very similar and that there is almost no difference between the two consoles in terms of capabilities.

A report appeared on Dutch gaming site ‘Gamed’ which claimed that a Belgian retailer, by the name of ‘Game Mania’ had stated that up to 40% of the new 40GB PS3 they had sold had been returned because of hardware defects. Now Sony have come out to fully deny these rumours.
