Well, at least according to 4% of the BLORGE readers who voted in our most recent poll here on GAMER.BLORGE. There were other candidates too, so let’s take a look at how it all panned out.

Let’s get the boring bit out of the way first, you know, the real battle between the three main players. The Sony PS3 won with 29%, or 1400 votes, the Wii was second with 27% or 1317 votes, and the Xbox 360 ended in a surprising 3rd place, with 23% of the vote.

This is sure to please the Sony fanboys who seem to think we have some sort of campaign going against the Playstation 3. We don’t, and nor are we in the pay of Microsoft, although if they want to offer me a few thousand dollars, I’ll happily oblige… yes, I am a cash whore.

I even agree with the readership here that the PS3 could win this round of the console war, it is certainly set for a long campaign. If the war was won on profits though, then Nintendo already have it in the bag.

So back to Chuck Norris. He actually came fourth in our survey, after being added by a reader. Not bad for an actor and kind of alrightish martial artist. Whether the 179 people who voted for him belong to his fan club, or just simply thought he’d roundhouse kick Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo in the head is unknown.

Your mum also did very well in the survey, no your mum, not mine, securing 73 votes. I don’t know your mum, but if she is a games console I’ll be amazed, and just a little bit turned on.

Jimi Hendrix did quite well too, picking up 15 votes, despite being dead, not a console, not even knowing what a games console was before he died, and too cool to mess about with petty console wars even if he were alive.

Old games consoles, and machines weren’t forgotten either. We had the Nintendo 64 with 79 votes, the Atari 2600 with 37, the Atari Jaguar with 22, and the trusty old Dreamcast with 11. That last one was down to all my friends on facebook voting on my behalf.

My favourite two results were the 41 votes for ‘Who cares’, and the 4 for ‘None of the above’. Why then did you bother clicking the button? If you haven’t got an opinion, or don’t care then DON’T BOTHER!

So what have we learned from all this? Well, firstly, BLORGE readers are nuts, and should probably be locked up for the good of the community. Also that Chuck Norris has more fans than I thought he did, and ones that seem to think he’s on a par with the PS3, which is weird.
