Sony TVs are for PS3s not Xbox 360s

You would think that Sony would be happy to have everyone, everywhere using and owning one of their TVs. That may not be the case, when one reviewer from a Microsoft oriented publication contacted Sony regarding an HDTV for review and was denied.
The Official Xbox Magazine (OXM) contacted Sony to see if it could secure a review unit of one of the new Bravia HDTVs. OXM admits it is a “Microsoft-focused (but not -owned publication).”
So, it was only natural that when one of the OXM editors contacted Sony in regards to a review unit, the answer from Sony PR was a flat out, take no prisoners, “no.” The company didn’t want to clarify things and stated that it had to support “our friends over at our sister company.”
The last thing the spokesperson said was the company had to “pass on this opportunity.”
OXM expresses some sentiments in the matter that no one there will review Sony HDTVs any more and that Sony has no interest in Xbox 360 users plugging the competing console into its HDTVs.
I wish I could say I was surprised but that’s exactly the kind of thing expected of Sony these days. The company will now have to live with the fact that OXM readers will no longer be reading reviews of its HDTVs and consequently not buying them. Of course, there are plenty of other sources that review Sony products but it’s clear that Sony just doesn’t care.

OXM sound like a bunch of childish retards to me especially saying they wont review Sony TVs any more and making up crap that Sony dont want people using 360’s on them.

If you are too dumb or too poor and buy a Xbox360, you wouldn’t be smart enough or flush enough to buy a Sony Bravia anyway.

I will never buy a sony product again in my life. I will not go to movies or rent films by Blu supporting companies. Its really that simple. If you support HD DVD, you have to do the math.

Is Mark the biggest idiot on this site? Too dumb or too poor? You must be on Sony’s payroll. It’s absolutely dumb for Sony to alienate potential consumers. Are they going to rely on their “sheep”, i.e.; “Mark” to keep blindly, believing & buying everything they’re selling? NEWS FLASH –> Sony has lot a tremendous amount of credibility over the years…it wouldn’t hurt them at all if their competitor gave them a compliment. When you consider all of the criticism they’ve received over the years, this will do nothing but help them.

So Sony didn’t give OXM a free TV to review and now they are “teh evilz” as usual. It was a lose-lose for Sony no matter what. Naturally, there are a ton of Xbox/Xbox 360 related groups and orgs that attack EVERYTHING related to Sony these days. I am sure that Sony Electronics does not want to get involved in the whole “console war/format war” crap that their sister company, SCE is right in the middle of. So, sending a TV to be reviewed by a video game company…especially Pro-Microsoft would probably be a no-go for anybody.

everyone knows how good bravia are anyway. thats why adimant MS fanboys and people who can afford gaming rooms with pro set ups still use them.
Sony know they have a great product. OXM could try to bash it and in fairness if you are buying HD you do the research and you will know if you can afford one where your money should go

Sony didn’t say their TVs aren’t for 360s, this writer did. Sony said no, not “our TVs aren’t for 360s”. Sony made a decision not to give away free hardware, that’s all.
Nobody should believe reviews of free product anyway, its called bribery. You want an honest review? Read it by someone who got it off a shelf, not for free.
Here’s a clue — nobody needs a review of Sony’s TVs in any magazine to know they’re incredible. There are lots of good TVs on the market, but go walk into your local electronics store and compare them side by side, and the Sony’s stand out with an extremely high quality picture.
Again, go read reputable reviews by people who don’t get free hardware bribes. And yeah, its a bribe — you keep getting free hardware if you give good reviews — do the math.

Xbox 360 was Microsoft biggest mistake it has lost than a lot of billions soon 10 billion. Sony has the finest HDTV in the world. OXM has always suck.
