You would think that Sony would be happy to have everyone, everywhere using and owning one of their TVs. That may not be the case, when one reviewer from a Microsoft oriented publication contacted Sony regarding an HDTV for review and was denied.
Nintendo’s latest President and CEO, Satoru Iwata, has taken the top honors in Next-Gen.biz’s annual list of the top 25 people of the year.
Microsoft has a tendency to talk a lot of trash, and they have gone after Nintendo via the press since before the Wii’s launch in November of 2006. Microsoft’s Jeff Bell has continued this tradition, saying that the success of the Wii won’t be able to carry its own weight because third-party developers have yet to make any money off of Nintendo’s console.
All right, stop what you’re doin’ ’cause I’m about to ruin the image and the style that you’re used to. I’m James Walker, or JW to those of you who have been seduced by my works in the past. Reports are spreading across the Internet that Halo 3 has recently surpassed the 5 million mark in sales worldwide. The Nintendo Wii was one of the most popular consoles last year and it is the most popular this year. Only there is a problem, the company is still having problems meeting demand. Conspiracy theorists may think this is by design and that argument may never be settled but it is unlikely this is the case as the situation will hit Nintendo financially.
In the past week I’ve heard nothing but ill-informed rhetoric coming out of the mouths of Sony executives and industry analysts. The PS3 is this, the PS3 will achieve that by then yadda yadda yadda. Now it’s the turn of Jack Tretton to add to the BS coming from Sony’s ass mouth.
Nintendo, despite my wishes to the contrary, has captured the “low-end” and “casual” gaming market with its Wii console. Most of you should be familiar with the Wiimote controller that is used to play all games on the Wii but some analysts think that Nintendo may drop the Wiimote in what I’ll call the “next gen Wii.”
