This is surprising.  It turns out that the best selling console is not the most searched for.  According to Google and a popular US morning news program, the Xbox 360 is the most searched for console with the Wii following in second place.

Conspiracy theorists out there think that Nintendo is simply holding back their supply of Wiis for shipment to create an artificial demand for it and therefore a kind of “artificial” popularity.  Yes, the Wii is the best selling console and is sold out both online and off but is that because Nintendo is playing games or because it can’t meet demand?
