Microsoft to compensate Xbox live gold members for outages

By Jonathan Schlaffer

live In case you haven’t been paying attention, Microsoft has been experiencing technical difficulties with Xbox live for several days now.  On several occasions, the company claimed the system was working perfectly but it wasn’t.

The issues, according to Engadget, seemed to persist into a better part of January 1 but now seems to be operating correctly.  That’s little consolation to those who could not sign on at all for the days that Xbox live was down.

Joystiq says Microsoft might be planning to compensate Xbox live gold members in some way but what form that will take is not yet known.

A free year of service would go a long way in my book but only if it can keep the Xbox live service up and running.

lol, MS should not be expected to give people an entire year of free service just because it was sluggish or unavailable for a few days.

    2. Jonathan:

Okay, three to six months then. That’s what we call an “exaggeration.”

I haven’t been able to log on to Live since about a week before Thanksgiving. Still can’t. I deserve some sort of compensation.
