Xbox 360 price cuts have begun in Europe

By Jonathan Schlaffer

Xbox 360 price cuts have begun in Europe It seems we can put to rest the rumors about the Xbox 360 price cut; it has already begun in Europe.  A Dutch retailer is advertising what I presume to be the Xbox 360 arcade system for €199.

Just a few minutes ago GAMER.BLORGE.com reported on the rumored price cut and what that mean for the current models of the Xbox 360.

The price cuts were supposed to happen on 3/10/2007 (tomorrow as of this writing).  But according to ProductReviews, it appears they are happening a bit early or are at least advertising it for tomorrow.  Either way it seems the price cut is confirmed.

More rumors consist of a coming revision to the Xbox 360 that may include a larger hard drive, Blu-Ray drive and with a little luck, integrated WiFi.  So far Microsoft has remained silent on those issues.

A company just doesn’t cut prices for a reason, maybe it’s just trying to be more competitive but there’s probably more to it than that.

I suppose if we all find out that there isn’t a Xbox 360 revision coming, we’ll all be disappointed.  It would be disappointing to find that out.  Something is brewing inside Microsoft but what that is, no one knows.
