Sony preps Metal Gear Solid 4 "special edition" PS3
Just as Microsoft had a special edition of the Xbox 360 for the release of Halo 3, Sony is preparing a special edition PS3 to go along with the release of Metal Gear Solid 4.
What do you get with such a PS3 you might ask? A larger hard drive, some special features? Nope.
According to Gizmodo, You get a gun metal gray “special edition” 40GB PS3, a controller of the same color and presumably, a copy of Metal Gear Solid 4 in the box.
Throw us a bone here Sony, at least make something other than the color special about the PS3 included in the “special edition” package.
Just about any other improvement would be welcome, a larger hard drive, a couple Blu-Ray movies even but all Sony can come up with is a new color. Yay. But I guess we’ll just have to take what we can get.
If you already bought a PS3 there’s certainly no reason to buy this version; you’re better off just buying the game. For those that haven’t, then maybe you’ll want to consider it if the $520 price tag doesn’t put you off.
I wonder just how long it took Sony’s marketing department to come up with this stroke of mediocrity.

after doing this with the ps, ps2 and psp,one has to wonder; does sony have ANY original ideas left? btw; it’s gonna take a lot more than a shiny coating of paint to get people to pony up that kind of money, MGS4 or not..
