Gamers will get last laugh by outliving haters of PS3, Xbox 360, WiiIt is a dark time we gamers live in; witch hunters like Jack Thompson and the rest of the media try to keep us down at every turn, politicians search daily for ways to squash the creativity of game developers, and parents are apparently too stupid to recognize that their own faulty parenting, not games, are the cause of their kids’ corruption. There is, however, a light at the end of the tunnel…at some point they’ll all be dead, and then only gamers will be left in their stead!

GTA IV released - Gamers report problems on PS3, Xbox 360The day has finally arrived, and people around the world have been able to finally pick up their copies of Grand Theft Auto 4, one of the most eagerly anticipated games ever. Unfortunately, despite almost perfect review scores across the board, not all is right with the game, with many people reporting problems playing it on their Playstation 3 or Xbox 360.

GTA IV allows Jack Thompson to renew assault on video games GTAI IV is out and Jack Thompson is already having his say.  He is calling for indictments against Take Two software and its Chairman Strauss Zelnick along with two other senior officials with the company.  If that wasn’t enough he wants to take down Sony and Microsoft for "making this pornographic game available to minors" and Best Buy, Walmart, Gamestop and other retailers should be held accountable for selling the game openly to anyone under the age of 18.

Ghostbusters dev team prefers PS3You may have heard that a little franchise known as Ghostbusters is being remade into what should be a fantastic third person perpestive game for the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii but which one will get that special touch?  If you’re to believe the dev team, it will be the PS3 version.

Ah, Blockbuster, love of our early days as budding gamers, how we adored thee! But how tragic and sorrowful your fall from grace has been. Blockbuster is trying desperately to get gamers to fall in love with it again, this time by not only debuting hot new release games like Grand Theft Auto 4 and Mario Kart on the new release wall, but also by jumping into the retail biz and selling hardware to gamers.

 GTA IV for PS3 and Xbox 360 to sell 9 million copies at launchUnlike the launch of Halo 3 which was surrounded by trailer after trailer and game footage and to some extent "spoilers" there is no such thing going on for GTA IV.  There are trailers for GTA IV but only to the extent that Rockstar wants us to see and no more.  Microsoft positioned Halo 3 to sell Xbox 360s but Rockstar is only concerned with selling the game, plain and simple.

Ok, so at this point of the weekend, you are most likely trying to abstain from wetting yourself in anticipation of the Iron Man movie and game, right? No? Well another small title is hitting this week by the name of Grand Theft Auto 4, and the critics agree: GTA IV looks better on the PS3 than it does on the 360.
