Over the first three months of the year, we ran a poll to find out which console will dominate in 2008. As well as the three main contenders of PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii, there were votes for some interesting choices - choices added by our seemingly mentally unfit readers here on GAMER.BLORGE.

The Playstation 3 was the big winner, with 41% of responders voting for Sony’s great hope. That was through a combination of people voting for the PS3 and Playstation 3, which it seems some of you think is a different console.

Then it was a huge jump down to the Xbox 360, with just 12% of you believing Microsoft’s effort has enough life left in it to dominate the next 12 months.

The Nintendo Wii only managed 7% of the vote, which seeing as it beat the total sales of both the PS3 and Xbox combined in U.S. sales during March, is a bit of a harsh assessment.

Okay, so there are some big games due out for both the PS3 and Xbox 360 this year, but the chances are that Wii Fit, despite being derided by real gamers as mere gimmick, will be right up there with the best-sellers come the end of the year.

So then we come to the answers added by our great (but ultimately insane) readers. We obviously love you all, each and every one, however much you accuse each one of us of being a fanboy on a weekly basis, but you really outdid yourselves this time.

The highest placed non-serious answer in our poll ended up being YouR MuM, which managed to nab 2% of the vote. 2% isn’t much but that means 78 people made it their choice of console to dominate 2008. What makes it extra special is that it’s the lame kids and redneck spelt version, with capital letters at the beginning and end. Wow.

And not far behind YouR MuM is Chuck Norris who again managed to do well in our poll. He almost won the last one at the back end of last year, but he’s obviously lost a bit of his mojo since then. 1% of you still thought he’d kick the ass of PS3, Xbox and Wii though, which means his fan club still has at least 63 members.

Of the rest, my very little pee pee deserves a mention, as even though none of you have ever seen it, with it being so tiny and all, it got 44 votes.
