Metal Gear Solid 4 is on the way, being released worldwide to an expectant Playstation 3 fan base on June 12th. The fourth instalment of the long-running series is due to be Solid Snake’s last outing, and therefore needs to wrap all of the various plot points up, but has Hideo Kojima managed it, and what are the reactions to the game around the Web?

As many of you may have heard PS3’s 2.40 firmware update is speculated to bring in-game XMB. Now it seems like there is more evidence supporting this rumor. A video has been leaked onto the Internet that demonstrates in-game XMB.

Some of you maybe anticipating to get your hands on the demo of Battlefield Bad Company next week to determine if the game lives up to it’s hype. I recently had a chance to try the demo early courtesy of Xbox Solutions and the game doesn’t disappoint.

When the Playstation 3 was released, although there were many people who wanted one, seeing it as the natural progression from the massively popular PS2, the price was too high, and the early games line-up wasn’t too hot. However, through a combination of factors, sales have slowly picked up. Could it soon be the Playstation 3’s day?

We all knew it was coming, but that doesn’t make the news that the Nintendo Wii has now overtaken lifetime sales of the Xbox 360 in the US any less intriguing, especially when you delve a little more deeply in to the statistics.

Wii Fit has now been out for about a week in the States, and already many stores and online retailers are reportedly sold out of all stock and waiting for more from Nintendo. So, what exactly is the appeal? And how can the PS3 and Xbox 360 compete with a machine which has become more of a lifestyle device than a mere games console.

The decision by Microsoft to delist some of the less popular or successful games from the Xbox Live Arcade has been criticised by many who feel there is no need for this, that the Xbox marketplace is working fine without the need for this interference.

The month of May will have surely been an important one in the gaming industry with the true effect of the late April release of Grand Theft Auto IV on PS3 and Xbox 360 seen, and the release of Wii Fit on the Nintendo Wii.
