Which console is best to buy for Father’s Day – PS3, Xbox 360 or Wii?
Father’s Day is here again, with Sunday, June 15th the day when you’re meant to show your dad how much you care. Assuming he’s a gamer, which console from the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii would be the best option to buy for him this year?
Network World has an insightful article citing five reasons why the PS3 would be the best option, which is worth a read, but are their points valid?
Games
They start by claiming that the PS3 is now stuffed with good games. Although the quality of the games has certainly improved, and there are many more big exclusives on the horizon, I would still cite the Xbox 360 as having more must-have games. What’s more, if we’re talking about a present for fathers, then the games on the Xbox 360 are more suited to your typical dad than the PS3 or Wii.
Winner – Xbox 360
Blu-ray
They then claim that the Blu-ray capabilities of the PS3 give it a significant edge over its rivals, and this cannot be argued with.
Back in May, Wal-Mart offered a discount on the newly launching Wii Fit to try and persuade doting children to buy their mums a copy of the game for Mother’s Day. Now, it is offering a $100 gift card with the purchase of any Blu-ray player, which obviously includes the Playstation 3.
TV Predictions reports that the offer, which runs from June 8th to June 14th seems to be boosting sales of the PS3 massively, with many choosing the Sony console over the cheaper stand-alone Magnavox player.
Winner – PS3
Affordability
The we move on to the affordability of the PS3 over its rivals. While the price tag has certainly come down, the Xbox 360 is still more affordable, and the Wii is massively cheaper, so this argument fails spectacularly.
Dollar for dollar, at this precise moment in time, I think the Xbox 360 offers the best value for money, but only if Blu-ray isn’t something that bothers you. Otherwise, the PS3 would take the crown.
Winner – Xbox 360
Online Functions
The Xbox 360 wins this hands down, with a better system in place, and a better sense of direction in which way the nline functions are heading. Of course, once Home finally makes an apperance, this may well change, but right now, the Xbox has this al to itself.
Winner – Xbox 360
So all in all, I would have to recommend the Xbox 360 as being the perfect Father’s Day present for 2008. I would add that if your dad is a big movie buff, then the PS3 could well offer a more well rounded machine, but for games, and fun, the Xbox 360 currently pips it at the post.
As regular readers will know, coming from me, that is quite a claim. I must be ill.

Funny that you didn’t give any honour to Wii Mr. DAVE PARRACK, despite the fact that its still selling the most.
June 10th, 2008
A fishing rod would be better perhaps?
June 10th, 2008
Man your not a fan Boy David Your Just out right Stupid – and probably getting a little $$ for your opinion. I Have one major question. How do you justify your claim of the Xbox being more Affordable??
You got to back up your claims better then that. or are you just a MS tool.
I want to see a comparison between the three or Just come out and say Microsoft paid you to come up with this quick little post to try to boost Xbox sales.
June 10th, 2008
wow..i’ll bet that hurt to write, dave… heh, heh… seriously tho; i’d agree the 360 is the best option… and that’s coming from a dad.
bluray is nice, but unless you want your dad to pony up ANOTHER $1,500 for a 1080p tv, on top of the overpriced ps3, i’d shy away from it.
then again..no two dads are the same.
June 10th, 2008
bd – depends on what model console u buy, i worked this out if you try to get xbox up to ps3 spec, if u buy a £150 model, add wi-fi (£30 adapter), internet(£40),video downloads(£4), works out at around £240. however if you buy a £200 xbox then its around the same as a ps3 with same add-ons. Not to mention that you have to buy a hd-dvd drive which is none existant for 360 anymore AND a few batteries for controller.
June 10th, 2008
Kevin
Just saying that the Ps3 is overpriced shows your complete lack of common sense as well as your idiotic nature.
And you’re saying that you won’t need a $1500 Tv for a 360? I’ve never seen the 360 perform on a normal tv but a couple of my friends threw up from that display.
Next time, just don’t speak rubbish. We all know you support MS, but try to be reasonable. I know its difficult for dumb people like you but atleast try, Ok?
June 10th, 2008
Seriously, if you don’t have an HDTV, neither the PS3 or the 360 is for you. Get a Wii.
June 10th, 2008
Ill just get my dad a box of half eaten Alcohol Chocolates or something… meh gotta save up for the new games…
June 10th, 2008
Dude the ps3 is a better value for the money. It’s a damn personal computer for crap’s sake.
June 10th, 2008
Sorry Dave, do the math and to get equivalent functionality an X360 costs about $100 more than a PS3. But I DO agree with you on the games front.
June 10th, 2008
Sorry Dave, do the math and to get equivalent functionality an X360 costs about $100 more than a PS3, and will never play the vast majority of hi-def movies. But I DO agree with you on the games front. I think, however, that your weighting is off. I think more dad’s would appreciate the Blu-Ray than would FPS games. I’ve got a 9 month old, and who has time for FPS gaming once a baby comes? But I can spread watching a Blu-ray over a couple nights with the wife, or one good evening if the tot will go to sleep early!
June 10th, 2008
Obviously, the Wii should win in the Affordability section. Specially when a similarly equiped 360 actually costs more than a PS3.
While the advantage still goes to the 360 for games and online, it’s not as clear cut as you make it (PS3 has free online, and its catalogue of exclusive is shaping up).
Also, what would be the point in having HD consoles (PS3 or 360) without a HD screen?
Overall, with Dads being probably more inclined to like having their concerts, films and sports on HD, and with Blu Ray support, the PS3 has generally received the honors of being the ultimate Dad gift.
I know this is what I think.
June 10th, 2008
Hell! I’m a dad. I want a PS3, I don’t want a 360.
If I was to get one I’d trade it in for a PS3.
Sorry Dave, your wrong with this dad!
June 10th, 2008
You’re an M$ tool. Affordability is definitely the wii. Even the ps3 is cheaper than the xbox when you consider what you’re getting. Games I would say it depends on what type of dad you have, Immature Fuck wad = xbox, likes to play with the kids = wii, Mature gamer = PS3. And how can you say ms has a better system in place wasn’t the system down for most users in december, and when the cod4 maps came out wasn’t the system down then too. Also having to pay $50 for it is garbage too. Face it the only thing america can make anymore is military equipment. Everything else is garbage.
June 10th, 2008
hamburger – while i may believe the ps3 is overpriced, so do the 120+ million ps2 gamers who refuse to pay that much for a ps3. yes…overpriced. you may not think so, but you are in the vaaaaaaaaaaaast minority.
and yes.. to fully exploit the ps3’s bluray capabilities you need to upgrade your tv to a very, very expensive 1080p set. remember, 1080p is THE selling point of bluray movies.
i’ve seen the 360 on composite video and, while not as sharp as hd, it’s not that bad. maybe your “friends” had some bad food.
nice math btw; how much more do you add to the ps3’s cost to include rumble controllers (standard in 360), a voice communicator (comes with the 360), LlamaSoft music visualizer (standard on the 360), and hd cables (the ps3 released with composite cables)? now..add THOSE to the ps3 price..since you like math…
if the ps3 was really the value you pretend it is; it wouldn’t be getting killed in the sales like it is. especially with the name branding of sony.
June 10th, 2008
Why would anyone buy a hd-dvd player for xbox when you can just run them off your hard drive through the xbox media center, downloads are the future and are a fraction of the cost of blu ray.
Also as far as the argument goes as just using it as a blu ray player, the ps3 is just far too big and ugly to sit in your living room. There are players on the market 8 times smaller. Sony need to consider a slim line version….and soon!
June 10th, 2008
Now now Kevin, now you’re just talking out of your ass. M$ tool you are.
June 10th, 2008
I am absolutly amazed Dave.
June 10th, 2008
kevin
overpriced ps3?
what are u retarted? bluerays cost $1000.
ps3 $300 and u can play games.
what are u 9 yrs old? get a job u moms boy.
June 10th, 2008
@ Kevin
How much more do we have to spend to have rumble? the answer as of June 12th, Zero. It comes bundled with the MGS4 bundle. And if you wish to buy another it is $54.95, not this $100 shit everyone has been saying(thats only if you import the Japanese one). The HDMI cable can be bought for about 8 bucks at monoprice.com. 360 is still far more expensive in the long run, and far more unreliable than any console on the market.

I Hate You All
Now, with that being out of the way I would like everybody to know that I don’t have any children so I’m not a father. I am however a man who like free gift from anybody. If I did have kids though, I would expect them to buy me all three consoles and give me the reciepts so that I could return them all, get the money my child (or your child) paid for them. I would use that money as a retainer for a divorce lawyer, I would not only divorce my spouse but also my kids, and then I would collect alimony from my former spouse AND MY KIDS. Seriously, if my kid(s) have enough money in their piggy bank to buy me any of the three consoles out, I would assume he’s well enough off to support me for a couple of years.
I highly doubt this article is aimed to kids who plan on buying their fathers a gaming colsole, but rather just a way for Dave Parrack McDoucherson to voice his fanboyism to generate further FANBOYISM discussions which you have all fallen sucker to. Stand up to fanboyism, hack Dave’s web site, post homo-erotic photos that you find on google, and post his real home address so that he can answer you questions at YOUR CONVENIENCE.
**Stop fanboyism; Hang yourself**
June 10th, 2008
Extras like wireless, rumble, etc. are really not required and most people don’t even care. Yes mr 360 fanboy, guess what, only a small minority gives a fuck about rumble – and I for one prefer hardwiring rather than wireless.
Its the price tag on the box that is the problem.
The walmart $100 ceritificate promotion proves that with a decent “price cut” the PS3 sales can pick up, altho we’ll need to see how by how much at the end of the month.
But look, sadly Kev. made a good post (for once) even if i am not sure wtf “LlamaSoft music visualizer” really is, all this comparing crap is retarded, there is nothing you NEED to buy unless you want wireless or to run your machine at the highest of resolutions.
However kev.
“it wouldn’t be getting killed in the sales ” – Its really not. Honestly, both the 360 and PS3 sales are not great my friend esp. when you can add monthly sales together and STILL not beat the Wii…
When you look at, its kind of funny. The big boys from last gen. clawing for second place lol…
June 10th, 2008
PS3 is the way of the future, hence the consistently higher sales then the Xbox in the last few months.
My take:
Xbox for greasy teens
Wii for kids
PS3 for everyone else
And yes PS3 IS cheaper then xbox360, when you look at all the functionality it brings, and added free network play
June 10th, 2008
Ok, who are you and what have you done with DAVE PARRACK?? hehe
I agree, a fishing rod would get more use than a video game when it comes to my father. He can’t even send an SMS.
June 10th, 2008
How about reliability? If a large sum of money is spent, I believe this comes into play. After the purchase of the unit is their fee to use the unit on the internet.
Thanks
June 10th, 2008
All i want for f/day is a new 25hp outboard for my tinny. I hope your reading this son.
June 10th, 2008
You can’t win DAVE PARRACK….one minute your being called a PS3 fanboy then the next a 360 fanboy. Just goes to show how easily the fanboy tag gets thrown around…lol
For me it wasn’t about how cheap the system was compared to the others, it was what system offers the most features that I WANT and did the extra upfront cost justify the expense…for me it was yes.
Kevin once again….WTF are you on about.
Both the PS3 and the 360 require a HDTV for the BEST visual output. You are the first to go on about how much better (allegedly) the 360 graphics are, but are quite happy to play or for other people to play on a SD tv (because it’s not that bad)….. So you openly fight over minor differences in graphical quality between the 360 and PS3, yet it’s ok to paly the 360 on SDTV. I’ve seen both on SD and they are attrocious to say the least. But you and/or your buddies can play SD if you want, even though you are so picky about the “BEST”.
Now I don’t know about the US, but here HDTV is or seems to be exploding….every day there is a new catalogue that is brimming with HDTV ads…in fact, I can’t remember the last time I saw an ad for a SD tv. Even in Australia, you don’t need to spend $1500 to get a HDTV.
Now for your good points…yeah I know amazing
Yes, PS3 should come with component cables standard. (but HDMI cable would be better
)
Yes, it should come with DS3 standard and I wasn’t that happy to have to spend more dollars on another controller to get rumble…maybe they could have compensated previous owners of PS3 with at a least a discount on purchasing the DS3. I do love the DS3, and rumble is an important gaming feature for me.
The headset is not that important I don’t think, because alot of the PS2 owners that have upgraded (yes, not the 120 mil, so back off Kev) will already have a good headset that works perfectly fine with PS3…mine does. and plus, why offer a free “wired” headset when you can purchase a good wireless bluetooth headset (30-40 dollars here) Not to mention that you can add any 3rd party item to PS3 not like 360 where it has to be a microsoft product and then it is waaaaay overcharged.
So overall, you had some of your usual drival, but a couple of points I do agree with for a change….
June 11th, 2008
sw – ninty and sony are the “big boys” of gaming last gen, noob.
spidey – the 360 outputs in 720p (hd) which have tvs available for around $500. the ps3’s bluray selling point is 1080p, which requires tv around $1,500 to fully exploit it. please learn the terms, definition and uses before replying again. it’s funny the ps3 has the features you “want” so therefore the price is justified. too bad you’re in the vaaaaast minority as proven by the poor ps3 sales.
have a nice day.
June 11th, 2008
I Hate You All – dude….take a breath… this isn’t that serious….seriously…
June 11th, 2008
why do 360 fanboys say the 360 is “all about gaming” when m$ now offer hd video downloads which take around 10 hours (im not exxagerating) and you can only watch them for 24 hours and cost £5 for a HD one. They notice that the 360 is now struggling against the ps3, as it offers more, and so are branching out to try and keep it more than a games console.
June 11th, 2008
bourne -which movie SPECIFICALLY took you 10 hours to d/l? let me guess..it happened to one of your “friends”…right? you’re so full of crap.
the 360 is still waaaaaaaaaaay ahead of the ps3 in sales…
“struggling”? if that’s struggling, i’d love to hear your opinion of the last placed ps3.
June 11th, 2008
Bourne – that is why digital downloads aren’t fantastic at the moment. Not enough bandwidth available for a service with a huge userbase to provide a smooth fast experience for most users. E.g. myself, I want a DVD in at MOST 1 1/2 hours.
BUT, it WILL get there. Even if its not this generation, at least Live is laying the foundations. I wish Sony would release some movies to the PSN :’(
@Kevin, You’re calling Nintendo and the Failcube a big boy from last gen? You realize I was speaking specifically in terms of sales and not company rep, right? And yes, I owned a GC and I loved my GC and its MP Top plate.
June 11th, 2008
Get Dad a PS3 its by far the best way to go!
After my 4th xbox 360 RODD I am officially done with xbox, honestly I don’t miss it a bit!
PS3 now has great games for gamers and Blu-Ray for the HD movie content.
Should have made the switch along time ago, I was just in denial!
June 11th, 2008
Ok well this is what i think……Why would you buy your dad a 360…….it doesnt have bluray movies, basically all the games suck and are M or FPS…i dont think the dad will let the kid play an M game…..and the streaming off your computer with the 360….well some of us have Apple…dumb shit…and besides…ps3 can do the samething…….and Wii…..i dont think you dad wants his body aching all day…..and i dont think he likes baby games…..PS3…you can watch movies in hi def….and dont forget…bluray supports 720p…dumbshit….and when you watch movies on the ps3 there is no loud fucking fan to interupt……and the ps3 would look really nice…in the family room…..at least it doesnt have a fucking ugly brick attached to it…..and not all the games are m and fps….they have creative games from the ps store…thats right ps has more games that you think….and another ps3 has creativity, and that something that microsoft and 360 will never have…….and the price is pretty solid….if you get the bundle…Ps3, Dualshock 3 controller, MSG4….and the ps3 already has a harddrive, wireless and wired capability…and also you dont need to buy a headset…DUMB ASS!…i bet your dad already has a bluetooth headset for his phone…well just connect that with your ps3….now your set….EVERY 360 PLAYER IS A FUCKING DUMBASS…EVER CONSIDER BUYING OR TRYING A PS3 BEFORE YOU CRITICIZE IT?…and it is true,, every 360 player is a greasy teenager that are stupid and obsessed with 360 and are nerds that play stupid soldier front
June 11th, 2008
@ SW….sony IS making a movie store for the ps3
June 11th, 2008
sw – first the xbox was called a failure last gen because it didn’t make a profit. yet, ninty made a profit almost from the launch. they sold a ton of games and laughed all the way to the bank. the gc was not that far behind the xbox. hardly a failure since it accomplished what ninty set out to do.
matt – a headset is critical in online games. being a sony supporter, i know you’re used to lackluster functionality, but it really does make a difference when trying to coordinate movements with others online.
June 11th, 2008
gspirop – i know how you feel. after buying my 4th ps2, i’ll never own another sony console. apparently 100+ million gamers agree this gen.
June 11th, 2008
Kevin
If you want to fully exploit anything, you need money. If you are poor, then HD is not for you.
So, stop complaining. Atleast the ps3 has HD capabilities. The 360 is still stuck in last gen DvD’s. If MS can come with an alternative for Blu-ray on a media (and nt downloads) at a cheaper price, then talk.
If you can’t afford a $10 HDMI cable, then you are a joke.
And also, maybe you need 4 ps2’s because you don’t know how to handle a console. I still have the launch PS1 and PS2 and they are in perfect working conditon.
All you Americans are alike. Blame the manufacturers after you mess up your own system.
June 11th, 2008
Kevin who constantly talking out of his ass, thank god you never going to own a Sony console because you’re not worthy. I understand you’re stupid and can only afford crapbox 360, but it’s okay to be stupid.
June 11th, 2008
kevin, in a recent gadget magazine on a broadband 10mbps connection, it took 10 hours to download a high definition movie. Considering after you have downloaded it, that it only lasts for 24 hours, thats poor.
June 11th, 2008
hamburger – first learn the history of sony. they REFUSED to acknowledge the dre and dde of the ps2. in fact, they STILL have no acknolwedge culpability. yet, there you are…securely fastened to sony’s leg as the ps3 falls farther into last place. good luck with that.
just a little fyi; i’ve had consoles since the original Atari, Vextrex, colecovision, and NES. the ps2 was the only one i’ve had to buy 4 of. (the 360 was repaired for free).
a $10 hdmi cable? for what 2 feet long? no thanks.
um..hey genius.. the 360 has hd capabilities. every single game is in hi def. not so with the ps3….*looks at GTA*.
Bourne – so you used an article to claim a movie takes 10 hours to d/l without ever seeing this for yourself? pathetic. keep the lies coming fanboy…
June 11th, 2008
LOL the lies? what lies.
Also i notice you ask ps3 fans not to bring up RROD seeing as its “fixed” …apparently, yet you always refer to sony with the ps2, last gen console.
June 11th, 2008
bourne – the point i’m making (that you and the other ps3 fanboys are making an effort to ignore) is you sony fans are the biggest group of hypocrites the gaming world has ever seen.
you want to crucify ms for taking ownership and doing the right thing while you flat out ignore sony’s looooong history of lies, and refusal to even acknowledge they produced a crappy product.
the “lie” was about you claiming it takes 10 hours to d/l a movie on xbox live. try to keep up.
June 11th, 2008
i knew you were referring to that you idiot, i was reiterating the point that its no lie.
Sony obviously made their mends with the ps3, ironed out the creases with a 1% failure rate.
June 11th, 2008
I have no idea what u’re talkin bout Kevin, I have two ps2’s one from launch and one a year later. Never had any problem with them even now while I’m playing through the MGS back catalouge in preparation for MGS4, there is no problem with it. Sounds like a solid product to me, the best customer servive is one u never have to use.
There is no “lie” bout takin 10 hours to donwnload a movie on XBOX Live, u can go out and buy a movie and watch it five times over before it’s finished downloading on Live.
I don’t know what the “GTA” comment is supposed to mean but I’m guessing “generic 360 fanboy remark”
Why do u keep going on about “ps3 sales”, it’s well known that if u compare the sales from when the consoles where launched the ps3 is beating the 360 (not bad as ps3 had to compete directly with insanely popular Wii)
June 11th, 2008
LOL @ Bourne. For someone who studies ‘A Level English’ I would have thought that you would know how to spell ‘exaggerated’ properly….
June 11th, 2008
kevin is a die hard fagboy from M$,hay kevin why you talk shit.
get a job u moms boy.oh i forgot your 8 yrs old.
June 11th, 2008
Winner,
Have we really degenerated into picking at people’s spelling and typos? Man, this group can’t sink much lower.
On that note, however, I have to say you’re freaking hilarious. Funniest poster on the site. “I hear wedding bells…” Classic.
-Arvis
June 11th, 2008
Do some research Kev…… You don’t need a 1080p TV to play Blu-ray. There is such thing as 720p TV’s that accept 1080p signal and they dont cost anywhere near $1500 (less than 1g actually) and the image quality is comparable.
Your argument is flawed and wrong.
Good day to you kind sir….lol
June 11th, 2008
Sorry for the double post…
Kev, what happened with the little controversy surrounding Halo3 and it’s “not exactly true HD” ??
If PS3 sales are that poooor, that would make 360 sales pretty poor too m8, ps3 sales aren’t that far off, no matter how much you preach they are ??
June 12th, 2008
Kevin
Mr. Genius. You keep saying that you need a $1500 Tv to exploit the ps3’s advantages.
I would just looove to see the 360’s HD capabalities on an SDtv.
Maybe the $10 cable won’t be so long. But hey, not all of us need to keep our consoles a mile away from the Tv. But u may have to since your 360 can catch fire at any moment and burn down the Tv.
And sure your 360 was repared for free.
But unlike you MS took mine and they took 3months to return it..
If MS was doing the right thing, they would fix the RROD instead of extending warranty.
But its because of ppl like you Kevin that are not fixing it. Its ppl like u who continue to Kiss MS’s ass as they continue to screw you.
June 12th, 2008
@ Arvis, thanks, sometimes this site needs a little humour.
I only brought up the spelling thing with Bourne because in a post on another column he said that assinine was a big, spohisticated word and that he studies ‘A Level English’, whatever that is.
June 12th, 2008
Spidey – for someone so tightly wrapped on sony’s leg you sure don’t know much about sony’s plan with bluray. blurays PARAMOUNT selling point (let me konw if this term escapes you) is 1080p, which sony calls the only “true hi def”. So in order to fully exploit bluray you need a 1080p tv… at $1,500.
i’ve seen the 360 on sdtv and it’s not that bad. Hi def is certainly better, but at 720p, the tv can be bought at $500.
yes, halo3 was not “true hd” as with GTA on the ps3. however it’s YOU sony fanboys claiming the ps3 is the only “true hi def” console on the market. (yeah, i can’t figure that one out either).
ME – which movie SPECIFICALLY took you 10 hours to d/l?
Face it; sony had a userbase waaaaaaaay bigger than ms just a couple of years ago…where did they go?
you ps3 fanboys are ignoring the point on purpose. ms only had 20 million customers to market to going into this gen. so far, they’ve exceeded that number in less than half the time. sony however, can’t seem to make a dent in their customerbase.
sucks for sony.
June 12th, 2008
“If MS was doing the right thing, they would fix the RROD instead of extending warranty.”
Sony only agreed to fix the PS2 laser alignment problem when their customers filed a class action against then. Is that doing the right thing?
Btw the PS2 user base is moving to the Wii, by the time PS3 is affordable the ship would have already sailed.
June 12th, 2008
Kevin your 1080p argument is the most useless stupid argument I’ve seen on the net….. WHO F%^$^G CARES IF THE SALES PITCH WAS 1080P…..THE FACT IS, YOU DON’T NEED A 1080P HDTV TO USE/VIEW BLU-RAY.
A $500 dollar 720p TV will do it just as good….FFS. I should know, I’ve got one of both and the difference is almost indistigishable.
Who cares what a “sales pitch” is. It’s what the machine does that counts and it certainly does play blu-ray on a 720p TV ………… so your argument to TOTALLY INVALID.
Got news for you Kev, the “Sony user base” is still there, still using PS2, just hasn’t moved over as yet. Yes some of them will change to another system and others will progress to the PS3, who knows what those numbers will be and time will only tell.
It is funny that it is most of us “Sony” users are the ones that will make concessions for both systems, but you will not make one concession at all. Both systems have thier good and bad points and when you can ONLY see good points of one system (your beloved 360) and the bad of the other, that makes you a fanboy m8. You are capable of having an intelligent system conversation, I’ve seen it, but then stoop back to the driblle like you posted above.
Yes, there are Sony fanboys here, but I tend to ignore them or just laugh at em.
June 13th, 2008
spidey – thanks for proving you know zero about this industry or sony’s plan. 1080p is THE selling point of bluray. the exact reason why it’s not selling… its not smart to upgrade yet… too costly.
and no, you ps3 zealouts don’t make concessions.. you make promises… that ALWAYS fail. yet you make more.
just like the promise that the ps3 would KILL the 360s sales at launch due to the ps2 having “120 million loyal ps users”…. sony’s words (echoed by fanboys), not mine.
it’s funny you only call things drivel when you don’t understand them… classic…lmao…

It’s a bold statement to recommend a product with a 33 percent failure rate. 1 out of 3 will die from 1 year of use. I hear that it’s now at 16 percent failure rate if you get one with the new chipset. That still about 1 out of 6.
Would you recommend a HDTV with those failure rates? How about a new car?
1 out of 100 would still be too high of a failure rate.
You may want to check the quality of the hardware you are promoting.
Thanks

Kevin, I think that (almost) everyone here will agree you are the one that knows nothing of the industry….making a point out of something that is just plain ridiculas.
“Sony’s MASTER plan” is to force everyone to get 1080p ONLY TV’s. Mwah hahahahah….you friggin idiot. The selling point is what the system is capable of – 1080p AND ALL RESOLUTIONS DOWN FROM THAT. You see that I have to shout to get into that moronic thick head of yours.
You will see that it is ONLY YOU that I call drivel. I understand what is said very well thanks.

I believe you have just found out the level of intelligence that Kevin has. He’s a blind MS ass sucker. He won’t open his eyes to reality and there’s nothing you can do about it. So, just leave him alone.
He’s got less brain than a cow.
