Half Life aliens invade Spore

spore1 There have been phallic creatures created in Spore and I’m fairly sure that’s not what EA had in mind when it released the Creature Creator. Here is something a little more constructive. Someone has gone and created aliens from the Half Life series in the Creature Creator.

Wegame has a video of the creatures which include: Antlion Guard, Strider, Antlion, Hunter, Houndeye, Bullsquid and last but not least the Headcrab.

Of course, these aren’t exact recreations of the aliens but they are very close. I’m torn as to which one is the most accurate since all of them are pretty good facsimiles. I would like to see aliens from other games or movies as well.

How about something from Doom 3 and the Alien movies? That would be nothing short of awesome.

The Spore Creature creator is just that. As I said before it would have been so much more if EA had tossed in the pool phase so you could actually evolve a creature instead of just being able to build one from selected parts.

I would forgive them for not having that in the free basic version but the pool phase should have been included with the $10 full version of the Creature Creator. Some were saying that it would be nice if EA would release some of the other Creators too for buildings and vehicles.

That would be nice. But, I certainly wouldn’t pay for them. The only way EA is going to get me to spend money on the game is when the full version releases in September. I’m not one for watered down experiences which frustrate me more than appease.

I hold almost no hope of seeing a playable demo download before the game releases. If EA had any sense about it, there would be. I don’t think the company does, though.
