PS3 to get its own exclusive Tales of Vesperia tales game like Xbox 360
It was recently revealed on the latest issue of Famitsu that PS3 will indeed be getting their own Tales game much like Tales of Vesperia which is exclusive to the Xbox 360. It look’s like Namco Bandai will be releasing three games falling under the Tales franchise.
Scans over at PS3fanboy from Famitsu also talk’s about the Wii exclusive Tales of Symphonia game as well. However the only version that hasn’t been fully revealed is the PS3 version which has a black box with a question mark over it. hmm… clearly Famitsu knows something but isn’t revealing anything quite yet.
What is going on with Namco Bandai releasing three exclusive games on three different platforms? I would assume it would be much more profitable to release all three games on all three platforms.
It could be possible Microsoft ponied up enough exclusive dollars to buy an entire game, while Sony and Nintendo complained enough for Namco Bandai to decide to just make three different games using the same engine to make everyone happy.
It could also just be Tales of Vesperia coming to the PS3; basically the exact same game the Xbox 360 is getting. According to Dark Zero, there was a listing which Namco Bandai put out a while ago showing their 2008 game release lineup and with Tales of Vesperia listed to be coming out on Xbox 360 and PS3.
Later Namco Bandai sent out a message apologizing that was a mistake. However this is exactly the same type of mistake Namco made with Eternal Sonata, which they later did announce it will be coming to the PS3, even though it was announced to be Xbox 360 exclusive.
It’s quite baffling what’s coming to what at this point, stay tuned for clarification at E3 this coming month.
