Breaking E3 News: Nintendo Wii Animal Crossing, DS exclusive GTA Chinatown Wars
By Mike Ferro
The Nintendo Wii press conference is underway and they have just confirmed Animal Crossing is indeed coming to the Wii. Nintendo also unveils a new peripheral as well called Wii-speak.
Animal Crossing on the Wii will be a ever evolving world where even if you are not there the world continues. Nintendo also introduces the Wii speak which is a new microphone you can use to talk to people in the game around the world.
It seems Nintendo has turned Animal Crossing into a virtual world similar to PS3 Home. You get your own room which you can customize and tailor to your taste.
You can also invite friends over to your room or go to your friends room, sounds a bit familiar doesn’t it? There are activities to do within the Animal Crossing world such as fishing with friends.
These mini games seem all to familiar with how PS3 Home is with bowling and playing pool. However in light if how things have been progressing it’s not all that surprising everyone is copying each other’s ideas.
Nintendo also announces a new entry in the Grand Theft Auto franchise for the DS called Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars. That was a big news nobody expected to hear. I suppose Rockstar studio is making up to Nintendo for leaving them out of Grand Theft Auto IV.
Hardcore gamers will be sure to pick up a DS just to play this new entry in the GTA franchise. Nintendo has also announced a slew of other games such as Call of Duty World at War on the Wii, a new Star Wars game called Star Wars the Clone Wars, and Rayman Raving Rabids.
For the DS they talk about Guitar Hero on Tour and the new Spore game coming out soon. Check back here for more details on these games.

And to the GTA on DS commenters, GTA games have been on both the Gameboy Color and Gameboy Advance (whose ESRB rating was “M”). What will they think up next indeed.

Sorry but Animal Crossing ripping off Home? You’ve been able to do all that since Animal Crossing Wild World. Home is just a rip off of Second Life, which is just Sims online, done better.
