More evidence Left 4 Dead is heading to the PS3?

Yes, this rumor is back again with a vengeance. Left 4 Dead an Xbox 360 exclusive game has been rumored to be heading to the PS3. Now it seems like this rumor is back due to some retailers actually pre-selling the game for the PS3.
The diligent posters over at Gametrailers discovered that several major European retail sites started listing Left 4 Dead for the PS3 recently. Could this mean these retailers know something we don’t? Possibly, or all of them could have made a mistake and assumed it would be coming out on both the PS3 and Xbox 360.
I wrote about the Left 4 Dead rumor several weeks ago with OPM also speculating this in their rumors section. A Valve spokes person later denied this as just rumor and indicated they are still evaluating the possibility for a PS3 version.
Play.com a major retailer in Europe is showing Left 4 Dead for pre-order as well as Game.co.uk and Gameplay.co.uk which is odd when considering there hasn’t been an official announcement. You can bet this will only fuel the rumor flames.
If this is indeed a mistake what happens to all those people that pre-order the game over the website? Normally retailers would not put up a pre-order page for a game until the site confirms the expected amount of inventory at a future date.
Could there be any truth to this rumor? It looks like only time will tell. We have learned in the past when a developer says “at this time there are no plans for [insert] version,” that doesn’t necessarily mean there will never be one or that there isn’t one in development.
With the Game Convention coming up in a couple days maybe we can glean some information from the event. EA is slated to demonstrate Left 4 Dead at the convention so regardless of what gets announced we should be able to get some new information about the game.

I would have just dismissed this if it was just on Amazon who list everything rumour or not. But if the ever reliable Play and Game list this then it maybe true, afterall Bioshock was just a rumour once (and that was only on Amazon!). Probably won’t get the game anyway, but will be gettin Bioshock

I would really like it if Left 4 dead would come to the PS3… except for the online experience.. I dont think mainstream games are limited by console hardware…
This is gonna be a great game (hopefully)… or atleast I can play it on the PC… thats something…

Wow that was a good fucking article Mike! I wonder where you got your fucken facts from? It’s fucken unbelievable. I mean it’s fucking amazing how fucken Xbox 360 games end up on the fucken PS3. And fucken vice versa. It’s too fucken bad that the fucking Wii won’t receive the fucking same.
