Nintendo Wii makes “real” gamers nauseated

Some say it is possible to own a PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii. But, is it possible to own all three and enjoy all three. This is a matter of opinion and I would have to say that it’s not.
There are two kinds of gamers in this world, casual and hardcore. Perhaps there is a level in between that but that’s another post for another time.
Casual gamers seem content to play either 2D sidescrollers on their PC or on an actual console (which is an afront to technology). A note to everyone, you cannot call yourself a gamer if all you play is Chess or Solitaire on your PC. Don’t even talk to me, don’t even look at me.
Wii gamers still fit into the casual segment but are another breed entirely. These gamers absorb everything Nintendo says, buy every game Nintendo releases and just go along with it. The same could be said of Apple users but that’s another post.
You can imagine when I came across this post on Gizmodo that it was love at first sight. Although it’s a parody from Sarcastic Gamer there is quite a bit of truth in it. From the overloaded “family-ness” of the Wii to how Nintendo fans just eat that crap up.
If you are able to see why the Nintendo Wii is not a good gaming system then this is a one stop shop for everything that’s wrong with it. If you are living in the Nintendo dream world then there is no hope for you and you’re just going to complain and/or rant. Have at it.
Just because the Wii is popular does not make it a superior gaming system and the same goes for the DS. Did you hear that the Xbox 360 sold out in Japan, yeah, that’s right.
If Nintendo provided the correct number of systems, I bet the popularity would die overnight and you would all come crawling over to the “real” systems. I’m not sure we would allow you, though. Apply for a permit and wait three weeks.

How would they die overnight if they were able to meet their demand? I’m sure it would do nothing but further benefit their profit margins and stimulate some more demand (especially due to the nature of how the wii sells. people come over, hosts dust of their wii, all play it, people leave, buy a wii). Thats near the top of the list for the dumbest things I have read on this site (and there has been ALOT of those.) Hell, this site is just becoming a collection of blogs aimed at starting flame wars amongst fan boys.
Maybe you guys should stop trolling on your own site and try and actually report some news.

There’s so much to reply to here, I don’t think I have the time.
After all, I own a Wii, and I have too many good games to play to spend half the night replying to all this.
Just one thing. Hardcore isn’t all blood, aliens, and graphics. Anyone that thinks *insert title of any game from this generation* was hard would rpobably have nightmares about the old 2D sidescrollers. Here I was thinking the fanboys were just children, though…it seems the PS3 and/or 360 erase memories of gaming’s past…

I remember when PS2 was way ahead and we could laugh at all the pretenders.
These days will come again with the PS3 we just have to wait a little bit longer…………

ha ha this is funny he’s one of those hardcore means shoot every thing people isn’t he ha ha bet he wouldn’t get close to beating kid icaris or ghosts and goblins bet he doesn’t even no what they are the only worthwhile systims out there are wii and buying a pc 360 and ps3 are just trying to be a pc and failing plus no unofficial mods so they suck oh and twighlight princess did disapoint me so i am not in love with nintendo that much

This bullcrap of casual and hardcore, a “real” gamer would have it all, not be picky of whats popular or has the best graphics and blood and the such
I have all 3, and i love it! I play lots of games, i just only care if its fun, which means i go from ratings from E to A, puzzle to RPG and shooter and the such, i just love playing em! (Only if their fun) and there are crappy games for wii, but there are crappy games for the other ones too, numbnuts
someone give jonathan a reward for most casual talk ever, cuz if u only think that a 360 or ps3 is the only “TRUE” game console due to the ONLY THING DIFFERENT ABOUT THESE SYSTEMS IS JUST THE GRAPHICS AND A HOME BUTTON ON THE CONTROLLER!
oh and i play PC games as well dont forget! lololz
