This past week there was an incident where a forum poster alleging to be an investor of the studio responsible for Wardevil, claimed that the game was a hoax. As a result of the poster, the forum exploded with comments criticizing the studio and its integrity.

During the last E3, Square Enix revealed that Final Fantasy XIII will be coming out on the Xbox 360. This created quite a commotion with PS3 fans. Recently the studio devs for Square Enix reassured PS3 fans that the company is in no way favoring one console over another and also that the PS3 version will not suffer due to the Xbox 360 port.

The Xbox 360 has suffered because of one particularly nasty, overriding issue: the dreaded Red Ring of Death. This hardware fault has seen millions of Xbox 360 owners suffer multiple console failures, and harmed the console’s reputation. But will the arrival, at last, of the new Jasper chipset mean those RRoD problems are now a thing of the past?

It feels as though I’ve been writing about Playstation Home for years. I haven’t, it’s only been months in reality, but with its release being delayed constantly, known and unknown development issues, and questions still remaining, it feels like the service has been a long time coming. Which makes any official word from Sony very interesting indeed.

The devs who created Burnout Paradise have promised their support for the game long after its release. It seems that they are making good on their promise with the plethora of downloadable content (DLC) that has been released thus far. Also, it is important to note that the majority of the DLC has been free. Burnout Paradise may be the first game to actively combat the used video game market head on.

Microsoft is known for leaking top secret news accidentally through its marketing campaign. In the past the company revealed that Gears of War and Halo 2 would be coming out on the PC accidentally by showing pictures of the games on advertisements. It seems that Microsoft may have accidentally let the cat out of the bag early with Halo 3.

I don’t smoke, don’t take drugs, and only occasionally drink. This means I have room in my life for one addiction, and I chose gaming a long time ago. But it seems addiction is too strong a word for the condition I suffer from. In fact, I’m probably just being compulsive when I spend six hours playing on the PS3, Xbox 360, or Wii.
