Microsoft to use PS3 Home for meetings In a ironic twist of fate, one of the companies that might be testing out the PS3 Home is Microsoft. There is a project in progress with the goal of researching the viability of using the PS3 Home for holding business meetings in a virtual world in order to save time and money.

Gamers have been arguing over this very topic for two years now and there is still no clear answer if the PS3 is truly more hi-def than the Xbox 360 or vice versa. However, early games seem to indicate that the Xbox 360 might have been easier to develop HD games.

PS3 sells more RPGs than Xbox 360? Initially it wasn’t clear if RPGs would sell well on the PS3 or the Xbox 360 due to its intended target audience. There was a dry spell until the slow but steady release of traditional RPGs such as the Last Remnant, Tales of Vesperia and Valkyria Chronicles. With the launch of White Knight on the PS3, it seems that there is a revitalization of the genre.

PS3 sales slump over Christmas - Wii and Xbox 360 riseIs it me or was 2008 meant to be the year of the PS3? Maybe I’m dreaming this but I distinctly remember both Sony and the press predicting that the last year was going to see the Playstation 3 become the console to own. It hasn’t happened, and new figures show that the PS3 has in fact had a terrible Christmas, with both the Wii and Xbox 360 kicking its ass.

Even famed David Jaffe had some choice words for the studios who released all of their top tier games during the holiday season. I would like to point out a couple of the games that should have done well, but underperformed.

Now, as we approach the start of 2009, the open beta (which is likely to be its perpetual state of being) has been with us for a couple of weeks. It’s high time we had a progress report.

Call of Duty: World at War (PS3) Review The Call of Duty franchise has been a revered series for a long time and is considered to be one of the best war based shooters out there. Activision, the publisher, alternates the development of the series by switching off between Treyarch and Infinity Ward. With the latest iteration developed by Treyarch, many questioned if the studio could reach the high bar that was set by Infinity Ward last year.
