Relax, Killzone 2 review embargo lifts in February  With a great deal of hype following Killzone 2, it may just be the most anticipated game to hit 2009. Many of the sites in Europe have started to receive their review codes already and the initial impressions are good. However, don’t get your hopes up on seeing a review of the game this month as there is an embargo on it.

But it seems as if our next-gen dreams will have to be put on hold for a few years as Microsoft is publicly stating that the Xbox 360 is going to be around for a long while yet, and the PS3 and Wii along with it.

Batman Arkham Asylum save Edios from Tomb Raider woes? It appears that the latest iteration in the Tomb Raider series is actually hurting the company due to poor sales performance. With the poor sales performance of the game, the company is taking a cautious stance for 2009. However, will Batman: Arkham Asylum be able to turn the tide for Eidos?

Are PS4, Xbox 720 & Wii 2 going to use motion-sensing controllers?The Nintendo Wii may have bitterly disappointed me in many respects but I cannot deny it has added some very important things to the industry. Number one on that list has to be the Wii Remote, bringing supposed real world movement to game worlds. So could this method of controlling games become the norm from now on?

EA to develop own console? - I'll stick to my PS3, Xbox 360 and WiiI don’t know about you but the last thing I think the games industry needs right now is another console. I think the PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii between them offer all the gaming delights one could ever ask for. In fact, as regular readers will know, I’d rather there was just one console that played all games. So I’m not too happy to hear about speculation that EA (Electronic Arts) could make a foray into console manufacturing.

Killzone 2 surpass Crysis During CES, Sony demonstrated the latest build of Killzone 2 for the PS3, which is set to ship out next month and suffice to say the game looks jaw dropping. Everything about the game was phenomenal from the details, physics, graphics, audio and gameplay. I did not think I would say this so soon, but Killzone 2 may be the first console game to surpass Crysis.

Sony talks up PS3 and sticks it to Wii, Xbox - Flamebait?Anyone who follows the games industry closely will be more than aware of some of the dirty tricks and underhanded marketing campaigns from the hardware manufacturers. But Sony seems to have gone further than most now, with a press release almost dismissing the Xbox 360 and Wii, and talking up the PS3 as the only console worth owning. Does this count as flamebait?
