Forget Guitar Hero and Rock Band – Play D-Pad Hero instead

The Guitar Hero and Rock Band games have pretty much revolutionized the way we gamers can interact and play along with our favorite tunes. But there’s no need to own a PS3, Xbox 360, or Wii, and have had to pay hundreds of dollars for the kit. Nah, forget all that and play D-Pad Hero for free. You know it makes sense in the current economic crisis.

D-Pad Hero, which you can download from here, is a game which utilizes the old d-pad of a Nintendo Entertainment System to great effect. OK, so it may not be quite as much fun as having four of you pretending to be a real band with lifelike instruments, but it’s still awesome.

I’d get the game while you still can because not only does it use a Guitar Hero-like logo, there are also copyrighted songs being used. And even if they are in a crappy format which makes them sound more like ring tones, I’m guessing the copyright owners won’t be too happy. Enjoy D-Pad Hero while it lasts.
