Zero Punctuation reviews the ‘Thief’ game series on the PC
Ben “Yahtzee” Croshaw returns with another Zero Punctuation review. Get used to these videos folks because they’re here to stay. Unless, of course, no one watches them, in which case we’ll abandon the idea. This week, Yahtzee goes back in time to review the Thief series on PC.
I’m not quite sure why Yahtzee decided to review a game series that’s deader than a dead thing on the planet Dead but he did, so there. Some of the lines are funny but having never played the games, I personally felt a little left out of the whole thing. Surely there are some current-gen games that still need Zero Punctuation’s snarly treatment?
What’s clear from the review is that the Thief series is regarded as having invented the stealth action genre, a genre that is now huge. Personally, I prefer running into a room full of bad guys all guns blazing, but maybe that says more about me than the quality of the games on offer.
WARNING: The video below contains adult humor and is therefore not suitable for anyone under the age of 18. Only watch it if you are not easily offended.

The Yahtzee videos are like South Park; watch them every week and they get boring and aren’t that funny.
Watch them every couple of months or so and then they’re the funniest things you’ve ever seen.

You know, this reminds me of a very funny story:
Someone made a “very funny” food stamp showing Barack Obama surrounded by watermelon, ribs, and a bucket of fried chicken.
But some “big cry baby” complained like a “little bitch” about the whole thing:
———
‘Sheila Raines, an African-American member of the club, was the first person to complain to Fedele about the newsletter. Raines, of San Bernardino, said she has worked hard to try to convince other minorities to join the Republican Party and now she feels betrayed.
“This is what keeps African-Americans from joining the Republican Party,” she said. “I’m really hurt. I cried for 45 minutes.”‘

Dave…late late late.
I couldn’t relate to the game, so my enjoyment was lacking this week. Yahtzee is the only person I have heard talk about Thief, like when he compared it to MGS.

To darkwhitehair,
Okay, okay, maybe your right. I’ll think about it.
Are you really that offended by my reply? I guess I made my point. I guess I don’t have to say anything about this anymore.
Well, against my better judgment, I saw the video, and I think he’s getting old with his jokes.

its not that Zoar… I dont get offended… I understand if you dont like naughty jokes… Im fine with it…
its that when you dont like something… and you constantly talk about it… you bring more attention to it… which means its harder for that thing to go away… its like kev with calling Blorge “biased” or fox news covering matured video games… they actually give it more publicity…
