SNL Wii parody video – Alec Baldwin gets off with Wario
The most obvious result of the Wii leading this generation is Nintendo making oodles of money. But there’s another, less welcome, result: parodies. The Wii has been parodied on so many occasions, and even Saturday Night Live has got in on the act, and they dragged Alec Baldwin down with them.
In this SNL skit, we see Alec Baldwin playing a dad who isn’t sure about having a go on Wario Land: Shake It. Finally persuaded to, he finds a more comfortable and rewarding way of shaking his Wii Remote than his two boys had yet demonstrated. Unfortunately, the movement he adopts has some less-than-subtle sexual overtones.
I do wonder what Nintendo think of this skit, as well as all the others that have been done on television and the Internet. It’s all good publicity, and every mention the Wii gets just adds to its kudos, but Alec Baldwin getting off with Wario? That’s not really the family-friendly, wholesome image Nintendo wants to portray.

Don’t worry too much about watching the video, guys. It’s stupid. It’s one joke dragged out for two and a half minutes, and it isn’t even a good joke…

DWH,
I don’t think I would have found that funny even when I was 16…
Sorry. Can’t help my sense of humor.

Yeah…that was pretty stupid. I finally got the opportunity to watch.
The only funny part was that he “felt like someone else was doing it” when he used his other hand.
