There is a new rumor brewing in the gaming community around the controversial Xbox 360 DLC for Grand Theft Auto IV titled ‘Lost and Damned.’ The DLC received much controversy in the manner it was inked. Microsoft spent what is said to be that of a small country’s GDP to get exclusivity around the DLC. However, according to sources this DLC may make its way over to the PS3 soon.

It certainty has been an exciting day for video game news today. The new inFAMOUS demo is available for download for those with a promo code. Also, Microsoft CEO, Steve Ballmer hints at what many are speculating to be the Wii-like motion controller at E3. Things are starting to heat up in the gaming industry.

3D Realms, the firm behind Duke Nukem and Wolfenstein, has closed down after running out of cash. It likely marks the end for the unreleased game Duke Nukem Forever, a title which proved better suited as a description of its development schedule.

Microsoft recently announced the acquisition of a new game studio for the Xbox 360. Microsoft is buying up a studio during what is said to be one of the biggest depressions in the history of the U.S. economy. However, the move could be an effort to increase Microsoft’s competitive advantage over the Nintendo Wii.

Electronic Arts has always been a company that, for me, has had a running order of priorities: profit, graphics, yearly updates of popular franchises. Not so anymore, at least on the graphics front. From now on, gameplay is to be the order of the day, and we have the Wii to thank (blame) for this change.

One of the biggest criticisms Sony has received is in regards to the company’s inability to play nice with itself. Sony Pictures and Sony Computer Entertainment apparently do not talk to each other well. However, it seems that the two divisions came together for once to work in harmony to bring the PS3 an exclusive game.

One of the hotly debated arguments around the gamer circle is over which game is better: Infamous or Prototype. No doubt, these two games have received comparisons due to their similar open world style. However, that is where the similarity ends as both games are truly worlds apart.

The PS3 is currently a very definite third in the race to “win” this generation’s home console war. Whether that’s deserved or not (particularly against the Wii) depends on your point of view, but it’s a fact. Sony is now claiming the PS3 will dominate proceedings in three to five years. But surely we’ll have all moved on by then, won’t we?

Good old Gametrailers has come under fire once again with accusations that the site is biased towards the Xbox 360. The site has been accused in the past for similar reasons when a comparison video was not labeled correctly. Questions have come up as to whether the gaffe was done by mistake.

Thanks to a deal struck with Microsoft, the Xbox 360 has been getting the royal treatment from Bethesda Software regarding Fallout 3. The console is set to receive three DLC contents with two already available for purchase. However, there are clues indicating that the PS3 may be receiving DLC for Fallout 3 soon as well.
