Look out Dave. Oh no. Watch out. Oh damn, too late. Barnabe, Bourne, Ivan and Roca (twice) just shot a load in your face due to that list. Damn! Roca before he even got the page loaded.
Personally I am astounded that there are 40! I had to go through the list just to make sure you were not pulling a fast one (sorry Roca not having another go at you) and listing some games twice. I will let you off though even though you have included 70%-80% rated games like LBP and Resistance. Suppose you had to pad it out some how.

The firist 9 are all above 90% on IGN

Halo 3 – 4 hrs story mode, then all its left is more online shooting (a shooting game like anyother shooter)
Gears of War – More shooting. the second a letdown compared to the first one. (……..oh yeah more anoter shooter)
in the shooter category CoD4 is the KING and is out for both console. Killzone 2 is better than Halo 3.
so thats it.. two shooter are ur best games. when COD4 and KZ2 are also high rated shooters that i can get on the PS3.
but then there is LPB the Hightest rated exclusive for a reason. it has “endless gameplay possibilities”
so CAD is sad the the best 360 games bring nothing to the gaming expierence and is on a crowed genre where get similar experience elsewhere. but LPB is on a class of its own

I guess the same goes for the PS3, the best games are shooters. All there is is MGS4, Unchartered & Killzone. All Shooters. Lets throw in Resistance and Warhawk. More Shooters. So basically Halo and Gears trumps all of these games and offers more game play and innovation then the whole lot combined. The both together probably sold more copies too. LOL LOL LOL

Actually, counting all 2005 and 2006 releases would make 53 out of the 360’s 136… but I did already mention it as one of the factor’s that would even up the comparison.
“better exclisive” … subjective. Personally I like RPG’s and the 360 seems to win out, for now, though it may change in the future.

On a side note, I’ve been playing Tales of Vesperia lately, its neat. I played the demo and dumped on it, but then gave it another shot and I enjoy it, nice game.

I’m still of the opinion that if Nintendo had made Galaxy the exact same as they did, but without ANY ties to Mario whatsoever, it would have averaged in the low 80s with critics. So many glaring issues… all completely ignored. Nostalgia can be dangerous.

Seven of those games I already played, or can still play on PS2/PSP as I can also play Fable, Jade Empire, KotoR, etc on the 360/XB (though I also mentioned this in the piece as another factor in PS3’s favor).
I was also sticking with games with aggregate review scores of 75 or higher, which eliminates Untold Legends (played better versions on PSP a long time ago) and Cross Edge, but I’ll believe you if you say they are worthwhile RPG experiences.
The rest of the games you listed haven’t even released yet (White Knight has already in Japan, but not the rest of the world), I (and IGN) was talking about existing games, hence “might change” in the as yet to be determined future. So, to date, for present gen games that have released, this leaves us with:

So LBP is the highest rated exclusive compared to the 360. Are we taking specialist press reviews here like what score the sony mags and sites gave it? GameRankings is a good basis for getting a balanced average score. Where is LBP there?
Oh wait a min. Nintendo has 5 of the top 10 games (if your having problems with those figures Roca think of it as being over half)
I personally think LBP HAD to get high reviews as it was such an overly anticipated game.

Saying that is like saying that your beloved kill(joy)zone 2 is not bad for a simple shooter. I would say Mario Galaxy has more inovation in it than kill(joy)zone 2.
Mario Galaxy is an amazingly fun game that although not the most brain challenging product out there has some really good puzzles and levels.

You’re right, PS3 has also has 1 JRPG rated in the 80’s.
Also, I wasn’t comparing them, just mentioning them, though KotoR did score higher than FFVII, Fable scored higher than Suikoden, and one set of games is from a more recent generation. Good thing I still have my PS2.
Anyway, they are all worthwhile games, Suikoden and FFVII are great, I already have them on my PSP, and I will love playing through them again if I get deployed again or if I’m on the move if I ever get through with the more recent portable RPG’s. I actually just finished up the War of the Lions before I came back and loved it as well.

All I know is I borrowed a friends Xbox and played KotoR 2… wow what a bad, bad, bad game that was. HATED the combat! Lock on and shoot? Wtf is the point?

I missed Vagrant story, but have heard a lot of good stuff about it.

The “glaring issues” I had with Galaxy were mostly with the camera and perspective issues. It was a bigger headache than critics want to admit. Also, there were quite a few sections in the game that were just trial and error, and any new IP with that much T&E would never have gotten away with it. But because it’s Mario, and it’s “classic,” the critics don’t care. And you know what? I can’t say I blame them. But objectively, Galaxy is not as great as it’s scores indicate.

I never had that much trouble with the camera myself (altho it was been a LONG time since I played)… Otherwise I found it to be a great game. The level design was fantastic and so was the gameplay. Heck they even worked the waggle of the wiimote into the game without ruining it.
Still, I do agree that being a Mario title probably did boost its score, in the same way that being a Grand Theft Auto game automatically gives it like a 9.9 on IGN.

For the record, I’ve never had any problems with the PS3 version either. I did hear that there was some kind of crash bug when it was first released and I think the servers were dying every so often.

I traded in NHL09 a few weeks ago for sims3 (wife). Eb games gave me $42 bucks for it, thus I only had to pay 30 after tax for the collectors edition (she just had to have the green gem USB stick).
EB games here in winnipeg has astounding trade in values for games, mind you only good for store credit. Nonetheless, it has worked well for me so far.
