Assassin’s Creed: Bloodlines for the PSP actually looks good
Sony announced that the PSP will get its own Assassin’s Creed game. The game will not be a port or a spin-off, but will be a full-fledged open world game. Ubisoft recently released a new video showing off the in-game engine and it looks pretty good.

Developers seem to have found a renewed interest in the PSP recently. There was a period when there were hardly any games coming out for the handheld. However, at E3 Sony announced several great titles many will be looking forward to. Capcom is even developing a full-fledged Resident Evil title exclusively available on the PSP. As mentioned, Ubisoft has also revealed that there will be a full-fledged Assassin’s Creed game exclusively for the PSP as well.

Ubisoft is finally sharing some information on this new Assassin’s Creed game for the PSP. The game will be an open world title with all of the running and climbing that can be found on the console games. According to Kotaku, producer Frederic Lefrancois stated, “This is a huge benchmark technology wise as this kind of freedom of movement has never been seen before on the PSP.”

The game will take place in Cyprus, Greece as the island holds a great deal of history with the Templars. Apparently there will be a ton of perks to connecting the PSP to the PS3 for Assassin’s Creed: Bloodlines. Things that are unlocked in Assassin’s Creed 2 can be unlocked in AC: Bloodlines. It also goes the other way where secret weapons collected in AC: Bloodlines can be accessed only via connecting the PSP to the PS3.
The game actually looks pretty good and I like the fact its a completely new story. This smart cross platform marketing could entice multi-console owners to buy Assassin’s Creed 2 for the PS3 just for AC: Bloodlines connectivity.

Wow, it’s a open world game? Maybe I’ll get it.
I love open world games on the PSP.

Never tried the 360/PS3 versions due to the reviews and what I have read about the game. Perhaps it’s worth a rental? If I hear good things about the PSP versions perhaps I will hire the console version. If those shots are actually in game, that’s pretty impressive for the PSP!

More proof that the PSP is better than the Wii?

I definitely far from hated AC. It suffered from being repetitive with the 5 different types of missions that existed before an assasination. Some parts were really great however. AC is a game that will benefit by having a sequel that is a lot better than the original. They will learn from their mistakes.

Phranc – I agree. The only thing that wasn’t so great about the first one, was the repetitive missions. I think the sequel could be a great game.

The original was incomplete in my opinion but the devs promise a more complete experience with Ass-creed 2 so we will see.

Ya and hopefully you might actually play a game before you call it crap! I know it did not get outstanding ratings, but they were also not crap!
As for Call of Duty, it being hype is your opinion and you are entitled to that. However alot of people including myself would not agree.

lol….well i play assasin’s creed and while the mechanics were GREAT, the game progression was horrible and boring. and the story was avarage.
fun game for a lil while.
on the other Hand, i Can see why CoD is hyped up.
while the game has a great multiplayer mode, I personally think its a week multiplayer and not as rewarding as Killzone 2.
-you cant create a Ranked room with your clan
-Cant create ranked rooms and play the way you want it (like 2v2 shotguns only etc)
-Clan batter are a pain in the ass
-doing the Prestige to do the same thing all over its gay.
-there is no team gameplay
-the Host system SUCK ASS
- LIMITED STATS
That is what I think about it, World at War didnt nothing to Fix any of these Issues.

Uh. Don’t mean to be a downer, but Assassin’s Creed on the iPhone looks much better than this video (maybe it’s still rough), is actually fun to play, and it’s about a tenth of the price of what this will release for. The demo is also rather lengthy, and it is free:
