Many gamers have been asking Sony to lower the price of the PS3 for a while now. It seems like a huge price break is finally arriving to the current 80GB PS3 configuration in the way of a super bundle. Technically the price of the PS3 will work out to approximately $299, which is $100 off the current price of the system.

Movies based on video games have a pretty ragged history. The few good ones are far outweighed in number by the truly awful ones. But as bad as some videogame-to-movie translations have been so far, Hollywood is really taking the biscuit by turning Asteroids into a film. This is jumping the shark and nuking the fridge all rolled into one huge calamity.

One of the hot topics today revolves around Microsoft’s plan to bring Silverlight ads onto Xbox Live service. This has gotten many Xbox 360 owners angry as they are already paying $50 for the service. Despite Microsoft’s reassurance that gamer experience will not be hampered by the ads, many fans from NeoGaf to the official Xbox forums have started complaining about this issue.

News regarding the rumored PS3 “Slim” exploded across the Web as word came out today about a contract between Sony and Foxconn to manufacture a revised PS3. Many sites across the Web have taken this rumor to be true, but before everyone jumps to conclusion keep in mind that there are a few holes in the theory.
