Who’s ready to play Uncharted 2 beta? (PS3)
Uncharted 2, the sequel to the highly acclaimed Uncharted Drake’s Fortune is about to hit the store shelves this holiday season. However, before it does, the studio behind the game is preparing another massive beta to iron out the kinks. Who’s ready to play some Uncharted 2 beta?
Uncharted Drake’s Fortune is considered to be one of the best looking games to date. The game raised the bar with narrative, voice acting, and graphics. The sequel to the game is about to come out and it has the attention of many gamers. Its interesting to note that Uncharted 2 stole E3 with the most number of awards from the conference.
Gamers have had their share of disappointments with online gaming. Battlefield 1943 was unplayable for the first few days, and Fat Princess suffered some connection issues in the beginning. Naughty Dog wants to skip all the issues and get you straight into the gaming.

Naughty Dog wants to make things go as smoothly as possible launch day and that is why the studio is holding two separate betas. The next beta will be starting near the beginning of next month. According to Play.com, the beta is set to start Sept. 15.
It is not clear who will be able to gain entry into the beta currently, but it is assumed that those who pre-order the game will be the ones to get first priority. There is some indication that others will be able to gain access to the beta without pre-ordering the game as well.
Interestingly enough the last beta included over 130,000 testers and it is assumed that the next one will target a much larger pool to really stress the servers. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is slated to hit the store shelves Oct. 13 in the U.S. and on the 23rd in Europe.

I will be in that beta for sure. UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves looks perfect plays perfect will be perfect. The first beta was perfect. Naughty Dog only makes perfect games. I love Sony’s gaming developer they always make games perfect with no lag SOCOM for PS3 is exclude.

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue has sold 3.94 million
I bet UNCHARTED 2 is gonna sell like 10 million by the time they start making UNCHARTED 3. Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune has sold over 2.6 million. UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves is gonna sell way more then the first because U2 is better and has online play which was awesome the beta. Also it has a fan base build and is prove is a great must have exclusive. You can record your matches and share them that’s awesome too. This game is gonna make HISTORY. The movie is in production also since June 30.

3.5 million tops, but whoever misses out, well it’s their loss.
Single player just looks incredible. Not too big on multiplayer, but will definitely check it out.

10 Million sales. LOL Oh it’s a shame that such a good game will never reach it’s potential because it is canibalized by Sony. Those Sony studios should leave and become independent like Bunjie did because their efforts are wasted being Sony exclusive. Talk about a waste of talent/resources.

The first beta did run as smooth as possible. If that is any indication, the next beta, and the launch should be perfect.
I wasn’t really that excited for the multiplayer at first, but after I played it, I can tell you that it is great. Playing 3 player co-op during the missions adds a whole other dimension to the game. The Treasure Hunter games were fun also.

I found the servers would crash every so often, but it wouldn’t boot you, just ‘reset the game’, which was neat.

Yeah, but you have to be invited to apply though. I’m hope I get one. I’m wasn’t planning on picking it up, but if the beta turns out to be good, that could change.
Ivan – those numbers are for the disc version. They don’t count bundles and downloads. So the game did even better then that.
MAG – they have to have something planned already. Resistance 2 had 60 and never lagged at all, so I think they can pull it off.

I got a friend who work at gamestop and he confirmed that the Company hasnt received any shipping of:
-160GB PS3
-80GB PS3
-Xbox 360 Pro (and the Arcade is only showing the Arcade and the Elite)
They are all out of those system….it’s hard to fine a PS3 or a 360 pro at Gamestop now days he said.
so base on that we should expect:
-1 or 2 new sku from Sony at cheapest one being $299 (PS2 compatibility is rumored, there has been pictures of PS2 games on the PSN store)
-the Days of the 360 Pros are gone so we should see the elite for $299 as well
