The biggest story going around today is around the Microsoft employee that went onto NeoGAF to bash Gran Turismo 5 and Polyphony Digital. Things started to heat up after it was revealed that the NeoGAF poster was a covert Microsoft employee trolling as a fanboy. The biggest irony is that Forza 3 is good enough to stand on its own merit without such antics.

In any video game discussion the two titles that are mentioned most frequently as games that all gamers must play are ICO and Shadow of the Colossus. These two games flew under the radar during launch but have since built an army of cult followers. It seems that PS3 owners may now be able to play these two classic titles in high definition with enhanced graphics.

Need for Speed: Shift is a game that has been getting fairly positive reviews across the board. The game is definitely one of the better iterations to release in recent times. However, one blogger is calling it a bug-ridden piece of code as he alleges that his Xbox 360 version of the game tried to access the Playstation Store.

There really weren’t any big announcements during the second business day of the Tokyo Game Show but publishers did get to show off a lot of new games. There was also disappointing news about game delays as well as information about new titles revealed for the first time.

Motion-sensing control systems aren’t everyone’s cup of tea. Which is why although the Wii has sold extremely well in its short life Nintendo hasn’t managed to get us all waggling or Remotes. But, love them or hate them, motion-sensing control systems are a part of the present and future of gaming with Nintendo having already adopted it for both the Wii and DS and both Sony and Microsoft prepping similar efforts for the PS3 and Xbox 360 respectively.

The Tokyo Game Show is finally underway. It feels like TGS will not have any bombshell announcements but there still seems to be a good amount of small chunks of news to come out of the show. Overall a steady stream of bite-sized announcements has already been announced day one of the show.

It was bound to happen, and it now has done. After the release of the PS3 Slim and the price cut which accompanied it, and the Xbox 360 price cut as well, Nintendo had little choice but to act, and act fast. So from Sunday, Sept. 27, the Wii will cost $199 in the States, and supposedly will have its price cut by a similar figure in other territories as well.

A feature that is missing on the current iteration of the PS3 on the market is the lack in full PS2 backwards compatibility. The old launch models, which are not sold anymore, are the only PS3s that can play PS2 games. However, according to some leaked meeting notes between SEGA and SCEA, it seems Sony is planning on bringing backwards compatibility back along with a special import section in the PSN store.

The Xbox 360′s Red Ring of Death was a serious and much talked-about hardware issue that has affected millions of machines worldwide. It was an issue that Microsoft had to deal with and it did just that, despite it costing the company up to $1 billion. Has the PS3 got a similar common hardware issue that can be classified as the ‘Yellow Light of Death?’ The BBC claims so, and Sony isn’t happy.

There are two gigantic bundles coming out for the Xbox 360 and the PS3. There is the Xbox 360 Modern Warfare 2 bundle and the PS3 Uncharted 2 bundle and both systems come with a whopping 250GB hard drive. However, for consumers looking to pick up one of the bundles it can be a difficult choice.
