PS3 Home vs Xbox Live version of Home
The Playstation Home has been a subject of much interest since it was announced a few years ago. The persistent online community is similar to other online worlds such as Second Life, but centric to gaming. Despite arguments about the value of Home, the online community has proven to be profitable for Sony. It seems like Microsoft is now evaluating the prospect of having its own Home-like community.
Microsoft sent out a survey to Xbox Live subscribers recently hinting at the possibility of an online community similar to PS3’s Home service. The survey talked about a few different naming conventions to the virtual space such as, “Tower of ROM,†and “Game Room.†The virtual space will have arcade cabinets where you can navigate your XBL Avatar to any of the units to play it.
According to the pictures that came with the survey, the virtual space looks similar to PS3 Home’s arcade and Namco spaces except the difference in the avatars. Earlier this year Sony announced that the company made over a million dollars in just micro-transactions within Home. There is definitely a great deal of opportunity for gamers to impulse buy within the virtual world.
It seems like Microsoft has just caught on to this fact and is planning on implementing something similar for Xbox Live. The novelty of roaming around and stepping up to an old-school arcade cabinet does have some appeal, but it may not be for all gamers. Some gamers will not care about the socializing aspect of a virtual world and may just want to play games.

However, as a hardcore gamer myself, there is one thing I love about PS3’s Home and that is the in-Home game launching capability. The benefits of meeting strangers in a game space and strategizing before launching into a game have been invaluable. For example, Halo 3: ODST’s Firefight mode could definitely benefit from such an ability.
There are literally tons of great XBL games with no matchmaking support and practically none of them have a general lobby to strategize as well. I really do hope that Microsoft creates a virtual online community like Home for Xbox Live as it can only enhance the overall gaming experience.

Sweet, I don’t have to use my brother in law’s machine to walk around a virtual room asking people if they want me to fist them anymore.
October 8th, 2009
lol
October 8th, 2009
Not interested. If I want to talk strategy I can use cross game chat for that.
October 8th, 2009
Have they got in-game launching in Europe now? I miss my PS3
October 8th, 2009
Can we dig up all the quotes with MS bashing home now?
I can’t say I’m surprised by the copying. This is MS’s M-O. (cough cough Natal)
October 8th, 2009
“Can we dig up all the quotes with” Sony bashing MS now?
“I can’t say I’m surprised by the copying. This is” Sony’s “M-O. (cough cough” PSN, trophies, BC, etc… wait, that last one is not quite up to par yet… give it time, they will be sold at a profit over PSN w/o disc BC)
It works both ways. This is what companies do if they want to remain successful. They incorporate what is successful/profitable.
October 8th, 2009
Who cares, Home sucks anyway.
You can have it. 98% of the time Home won’t even load for me.
I get errors or it freezes when it is initializing.
October 8th, 2009
Phranc,
did you watchgame yesterday, jeter being jeter huh
October 8th, 2009
Awesome game Roca.
I also like how Arod actually did something. This team is going all the way!!!!
October 8th, 2009
“For example, Halo 3: ODST’s Firefight mode could definitely benefit from such an ability.”
Or even better you can incorporate matchmaking. Home was OK when I tried it but keep it on the PS3 it is not nessasary. The social networking aspects of the 360 work great the way it is now. Facebook and Twitter will just add to that hopefully making it better.
October 8th, 2009
“There are literally tons of great XBL games with no matchmaking support and practically none of them have a general lobby to strategize as well.”
I would like to know what games your talking about because I have no idea what you are talking about. I have yet to see a LIVE incorporated game without some way of finding people to play multiplayer. If you want to stratagise just setup a party.
October 8th, 2009
Besides there are other ways to launch games. Yesterday I was watching a XBOX 101 Video and I never realized the “Quick Launch” option when you hit the Xbox Button on the controller. You can quick launch an game on the HD and then go into multiplayr or campaign or what ever you do. No need to run around a virtual space looking for people.
October 8th, 2009
“No need to run around a virtual space looking for people.”
there is no need to…but its a nice option to have. I dont personally use home for that, but I know ppl how deep in Clan wars and stuff and they do metting, plan some strategies and discuss War time and date at Home. the Option is always there but then again like CAD said “you dont need to” if dont feel like it
October 8th, 2009
Home has been gaining momentum lately it’s gettiang a lot of good spaces comapred to when it first launched
October 8th, 2009
hey Robert, whats going on?
October 8th, 2009
please CarlB. lets not try and compare the two. Microsofts cash cow is ripped off from Apple.
Plus you’re examples aren’t all that good.
PSN was inevitable. Thats like saying….Sony ripped off the internet.
trophies and achievements have been in other games. Ratchet and Clank…..
and BC is another SOny feature ripped off from Sony.
I don’t know if you recall the survey done by Sony where the results showed most people don’t care about BC.
October 8th, 2009
its like saying M$ stole the HDMI port from Sony. lol
October 8th, 2009
I have no real interest in Home. The most fun I had was dressing as a paki and doing what looked like part of Peter’s “Surfin’ Bird” routine in front of a random girl on the bench.
I’m not too much of even an online player. The only game that really gets me out there is Uncharted 2 (so far), Call of Duty, and LBP (of course). I care about Home less than I do motion sensing.
October 8th, 2009
Phranctoast
Sure PSN was Inevitabel because online was the obvious thing to do but when you rip feature for feature it’s copying at it’s best. Lets not forget that PSN is a combo of LIVE and Nintendo’s online/ideas. Like I siad before the PS3 is becoming a 360 with every update.
October 8th, 2009
“Like I siad before the PS3 is becoming a 360 with every update.”
The only difference is PSN is free and better, with no ads XMB GUI
October 8th, 2009
“its like saying M$ stole the HDMI port from Sony. lol”
No it’not. HDMI is a technical upgrade for for audio and visual. It went form coaxil to Component to S-Video to Composit to HDMI and somewhere in there is optical for sound. Lets remember when he 360 launched HDMI was not the standard yet.
October 8th, 2009
And now the WIreless has been upgraded to “N” which is the new standard. It makes the external Wi-Fi look like a good idea.
October 8th, 2009
Free yes Better NOT!
October 8th, 2009
CAD,
That was a Joke! (like “Sony ripped off the internet”)
but you can’t really say Sony is copying Live. because Sony adds features based on user’s demand. and since Live and PSN are competing with each other most user’s demand some Live feature, simple as that. but even then I know Company steal/copy stuff from each other, they all do it, it just business.
October 8th, 2009
CAD: “Free yes Better NOT!”
betten for online play YES, because PSN allows devs to used their own server to host their online games, and that why we seen 40 players, 60 players, 256 players, 8 players co-op games, MMOs with no lag and running smooth.
Though I do have to give it to Live becuse it offers more feature and services, but where it matters the most (online play) I think PSN wins
October 8th, 2009
Theres also features in Home that are in NXE. I know NXE launched first, but the ideas were mentioned before we even knew of NXE’s existence
October 8th, 2009
Well it’s all opinion but I think Carl B needs to tell us what he thinks about PSN vs Live since he is the most unbias here. I did tell him I would ask in the future so Carl I’m asking now.
October 8th, 2009
what ever the case is, the difference is no enough to jutified the $50 cost
October 8th, 2009
noone really needs to strategize before the game. when the game starts, the dynamics change. this is why in game voice chat is so critical and why most online gamers where scratching their heads at sony’s decision to not include a voice com with the ps3.
as Carlb can attest, “no battle plan withstands contact with the enemy”.
roca – “The only difference is PSN is free and better, with no ads XMB GUI”
you forgot the part where the updates are ruining ps3 consoles… so much so sony is getting sued for it. not good.
October 8th, 2009
updates brick 360′s also kev. In fact that’s something Sony ripped off from MS..lol
October 8th, 2009
roca – “Though I do have to give it to Live becuse it offers more feature and services, but where it matters the most (online play) I think PSN wins”
there’s a suprise…
xbox live has more features, by your own admission, an set the standard for online console gaming that the ps3 is struggling to keep up with and yet, somehow, to you, PSN is better for online gaming than xbox live.
and you wonder why i call you fanboy….lmao..
October 8th, 2009
phrance – if you say so. after all you are soooooo truthful in your posts..lmao…
October 8th, 2009
sorry kev. I thought it was a well known fact.
h**p://www.daledietrich.com/gaming/fall-update-brick-class-action-brought-against-microsoft/
October 8th, 2009
phranc – bummer..so both ms and sony have bricking problems. i wonder if ms covers it under their warranty…
October 8th, 2009
bricking??
freezing and bricking is not the same.
and Kev, Online game and Online extra features are not the same.
The most I have had on a online game was during my Socom days during the PS2 era, and it was straight online gameplay and none of the extra feature we have now.
October 8th, 2009
roca – it’s never “the same” with you sony fanboys.
everything sony related is rose peddles and puppy dogs…
the gaming of xbox live is far more stable, enjoyable and communicative than sony’s online gaming. there’s a reason why millions of more gamers would choose to pay for xbox live than buy a ps3 and take psn for free. it’s just a better gaming infrastructure.
you ps3 zealouts seem to be the only ones who don’t understand this. if it wasn’t worth the price people wouldn’t be buying it.
it’s just like the ps3. very few see it as worth the price, so it’s coming in last in sales.
hope this helps.
October 8th, 2009
“there’s a reason why millions of more gamers would choose to pay for xbox live than buy a ps3 and take psn for free. it’s just a better gaming infrastructure”
maybe it is becaise the 360 has been always cheaper tha the PS3….think about that for a sec
October 8th, 2009
roca – and yet, psn is free and has never had as many users xbox live. even last gen with 150 million ps2 on the market.
cheaper is really the reason? think about that for a week.
October 8th, 2009
ohh Kev and his classic fanboy lines
October 8th, 2009
But Roca it’s true. You admit to more features and I will add that they are better features like cross game chat and Party chat. So what really makes PSN a better online if it lack features. And like Kev said every 360 is packaged with a headset mean better communication between members.
October 8th, 2009
CAD,
I was talking about “online game” alone. you know be able to play a game online.
the PSN allows devs to use their on server and we get better online games, like Warhawk, LPB, Modnation racers, MAG, MMOs.
but “online features” LIVE wins.
but for online games, devs are force to used M$’s Live server, which is one of the reason why the PS3 see more crazy online games, more create-share-play games, MMO’s and that kind of stuff. this is also why the PSN can’t track which is the most played online game on the PSN. because they are all running on thier own servers
October 8th, 2009
“And like Kev said every 360 is packaged with a headset mean better communication between members.”
thats why there are on XBL a whole bunch of kids that wont shut up saying stupid stuff, putting music etc. I rather pay for a headset than have to pay to be able to play online
October 8th, 2009
@kev
I do agree with u to some extent, even though i can understand, why ppl say psn is better than live coz its free, but still there are millions out there, who pay to play on live.. I am from India and i do pay 50$ a year to be on live, while some of my friends have ps3 and 360 both and they also pay the subscription for live.. They use both psn and live
October 8th, 2009
I wish sony packaged the PS3 with some kind of headset that wasn’t bluetooth.
I once had to play GTA 4 with a buddy (whom I play pc games with) using my BT earpiece…
My friend however was talking to me on PC… So I have vent open on my PC and cranked up nice and loud while I sit on the couch which my BT headset… It was bizare.
October 8th, 2009
SW, what was that (last part), it didnt get it?
October 8th, 2009
“PSN allows devs to use their on server and we get better online games”
Roca LIVE does the same thing for example EA has it’s own server. Konami use it’s own server for Pro Evoloution Soccer. I don’t know where you got that from but that is not true.
October 8th, 2009
Hey to all the Canadians on here. Google Maps now has Street View for Toronto and surrounding areas. It’s very cool and a little scary at the same time. In the paper they said there was an image of someone garage on fire and another had a person coming out of a Adult Video store. Some said they saw themselves in their livingrooms. A girls at work said her father was in the shot in front of her house. So basically make sure your not caught on camera doing something stupid.
October 8th, 2009
I love satelite and street view stuff
From floating cars to people throwing up on the street… Brings a tear to my eye.
October 8th, 2009
One company comes up with an idea, the rivals take it and make it for their own consoles. It’s the way the gaming world works these days.
If there is a way to make more money from people, businesses will copy it. That is a guarantee.
October 8th, 2009
SW/CAD,
There was a bit of an uproar over here when Google Street View went live. A postman lost his job because he was seem asleep on the side of the road. Also, a guy’s wife left him because the street view showed his car in his mistress’ driveway. Funny stuff.
October 9th, 2009
I normally like reading peoples posts on here, nearly everyone makes a valid point, but then someone named Kev comes along and calls everyone a fanboy and gives 360 fans a bad name.
October 9th, 2009
Hey don’t forget me oldschool1234. I am an idiot too.
October 9th, 2009
oldschool*1234* lol
hey andrew, how is your PS4th?
October 9th, 2009
Harry trust me that same uproar is happening right now in our city over this street view for Google maps. It’s quite funny.
October 9th, 2009
is that a of the city live view?
October 9th, 2009
Hey Roca. My ps4th is still in the factory. Cant decide whether to buy one or not. Both options have the plusses and negatives.
October 9th, 2009
I use to wonder that but now that it’s here I now realize that it’s previous shots taken. Google has a van mounted with cameras that just drives around and collects the view. It’s spring in Toronto in the shots and the trees still don’t have leaves. They should have done it in summer. Oh well
October 9th, 2009
oldschool – stop acting like a fanboy and i’ll stop calling you one.
lying about halo is a typical fanboy thing to do… so that’s why i called you a fanboy… blame yourself, genius…
can you blame me tho? look at Roca… he blatantly lies and we’re supposed to be ok with that? nah…
October 9th, 2009
No Andrew_DoubleShit I like you, just wind you up half the time lol
ANd Kev FFS!!! Grow up, you sound so retarded saying I’d lie about Halo, I’m just not that sad, maybe you are. You sound like the biggest fanboy in the world by saying someone is lying all the time, grow up and wind your neck in. Just because you can’t afford any Halos and have to go round your boyfriends all the time just to play it.
October 9th, 2009
oldschool – you’re the one who brought my name into it. deal with it.
“Just because you can’t afford any Halos and have to go round your boyfriends all the time just to play it.” – statements like this are why you are labeled a fanboy….
of course, you’re the same tool that said ODST was the same as “halo 4″…. lmao…
October 9th, 2009
oldschool – when you say things that are blatantly a lie, can you blame anyone for calling you a fanboy?
“LMFAO! seriously? its exactly the same, which is a good thing anyway. But how is the gameplay much different? he looks the same as a Spartan. He just can’t jump as high and has health now lol. Typical Xbox Fanboy thing to say.”
the gameplay in odst is not the same as other halo games…
the character does NOT look like a spartan as the character has a face, whereas spartan 117 doesn’t.
October 9th, 2009
Kev: “can you blame me tho? look at Roca… he blatantly lies and we’re supposed to be ok with that? nah”
if you can prove that would be great…I guess your just mad because I dont put up witn any of your made-up claims/post/rumors/statements/dabates/and desctructoid links
October 9th, 2009
@ CAD
They are going to start blurring the faces of people and license plates on cars, just like they do in the states. If they don’t then google will be sued pretty damn quick.
October 9th, 2009
So, wait a second, who did Sony copy backwards compatibility off of again?
-Arvis
October 9th, 2009
roca – i’ve proven you to be a liar, over and over and over again…
the result? you run from the post, ignore the facts, and NEVER own up to your lies even when debunked….
pathetic…
October 9th, 2009
roca – “desctructoid links”…
so articles written by gamers who’ve played the game they are writing about are somehow not credible b/c you don’t agree with their findings?
and you wonder why we call you a fanboy..lmao…
October 9th, 2009
I already went over this.. but if you want to you can keep believing everything destructoid says like “GT5 vs FM3 Graphics = FM3 Wins”
that one got me laughing too!! do you have another good joke like those?
October 10th, 2009
Kev it is the same as the others with ‘minor’ differences, which is NOT a bad thing.
And did you really say a difference is he has a face? LMFAO!!! Wow got me there, but i really don’t remember seeing the Rooks face… or hearing him talk at all, only the other team members.
The only bit that’s really different is where your the rook looking for clues to what the rest of the team got up to, I didn’t like them bits because it was too slow for my liking.
Playing Anyone else in rooks team was great tho, Loved the Looooooooonnnggg bridge bit at the end.
Anyway I’m not dissing Halo, because there’s nothing to ‘Diss’ but constantly calling me a liar and saying I ain’t played or got Halo as a defense is a tad pathetic Kev… like half the shit you say on here.
I hope when you leave the all girls school you’ll wise up a bit.
October 10th, 2009
phranctoast,
“please CarlB. lets not try and compare the two.”
Why not?
“PSN was inevitable” you could be right, but MS was the first to do it right on home consoles, and PSN certainly copied it’s fair share.
You could also say the Game Room was inevitable. That’s like saying… Microsoft ripped off the Internet (Second Life).
“trophies and achievements have been in other games. Ratchet and Clank…”
Medals and awards systems have been incorporated other individual games. Atari 2600 Activision games, Rogue Squadron… but Microsoft was the first to incorporate this amongst all the video games for a home console, and still is the only one to have it for all of it’s retail games. Sony was adamant that they would not have a similar award system, until about a year or so of listening to fans complain about it. Now they are standard.
“After Microsoft popularized the idea, Sony duplicated it with Playstation 3 trophies, and so did Valve on its Steam PC gaming platform.”
pcworld.com/article/173341/xbox_360_achievements_icy_grip_neednt_get_colder.html
“and BC is another SOny feature ripped off from Sony.”
Really? I think there were a few consoles that existed before the Playstation 2 with this feature already: Atari 7800, Atari 5200, Sega Genesis, GameBoy, Sega Saturn, etc.
“I don’t know if you recall the survey done by Sony where the results showed most people don’t care about BC.”
A survey done by Sony to back up where they stand now? Surprising. In any case, it’s logical and common sense to assume that most people buy a new console to primarily play new games. This doesn’t mean there is still a good portion of people that wouldn’t appreciate bc. I’m sure there is a reason they’re selling PSOne games over PSN (at least they left this in)… and soon to be selling PS2 games. Hint? It’s profitable.
October 10th, 2009
you could Also say M$ copy Sony for implemeing rumble, dual sticks, 4 shoulder bottons in the Controller.
You can also say M$’s is copying Sony’s Eye Toy with Natal, as Sony was the first to implement this feature in home console.
you can aslo M$ copied Sony for using disc-based games instead of cartridge because Sony was the first to implement this and succeeded (Sega CD Failed) on home console.
You can also say M$ copied Sony for having HHD and selling HHD and memory card for its console as Sony did that first with its PS3 (FAT),
I can keep going all day with stuff like DVD/CD drive on home console, console built for vertical stand (M$ failed at it) etc.
there is really no point of saying Sony is stealing M$ features, because in reality thats how the business word is, how do you think M$ got to become such a big company (hint stealing Ideas/feature from other). Sony and M$ are going to do motion controllers…does that mean they are stealing from M$? no they are just trying to keep up and compete with the competition
October 10th, 2009
Stealing features? LOL
Sh1t happens.
October 10th, 2009
“I think Carl B needs to tell us what he thinks about PSN vs Live since he is the most unbias here.”
First off, the price. PSN and XBL Silver are the only two I would be using if it weren’t for Netflix. I don’t really care about multiplayer because I am not into these games. Fable 2 and Demon’s soul’s were the first I can remember incorporating this in a way where I would utilize it somewhat in RPG’s… but not enough to really care either way. I prefer to play a game by myself. For those who do utilize multiplayer and don’t care about or can’t utilize Netflix HD streaming, PSN is the way to go price wise… which leads us to the next subject…
Stability. I know a lot of people will hate me for this, but I get kicked off of PSN a lot more than I have XBL (actually, I can’t remember this ever happening on XBL, though this is more to do with timing, as XBL has gone down in the past). They are both wired with the same type/quality of cable, so wireless/connectivity is not the source of the problem. This doesn’t really effect me though, as I stated I don’t really care/utilize the online features too much, and all that happens is a little window pops up in the right hand corner saying I was disconnected. This has happened during all four (I know, not a lot of games at all) of the games I have played on PS3: Uncharted, MGS4, Infamous, and Demon’s Souls. But this is much more preferable than freezing… where it can get very annoying is getting kicked off in the middle of a patch/update… which I was getting constantly for MGS4 and more recently Life w/Playstation (folding@home)…
Firmware updates… I have only experienced two, and at least one froze the first game I played: Uncharted. I fixed this by reinstalling the game data. MGS4 also froze during the next update, but I’m still not sure if this was coincidence or not, as I ordered a replacement disc and it worked fine. Aside from this, the updates on 360 also seem to go faster and smoother.
Games. PSOne games and PSP game availability trumps XBox Originals selection for me personally. As for Indie Games on 360… I haven’t purchased one yet, but I am waiting for Dust: An Elysian Tale to come out.
Demos. PSN: 237 XBL: 229
Batman AA demo download.
PSN 1.037 GB, 7’42”
XBL 1.58 GB, 9’26”
Game Videos. PSN: 128 XBL: 387
Movies. XBL: 1167 PSN: 2315
TV Shows. XBL: 875 PSN: 516
Music Videos. XBL: 916 PSN: 0
I prefer Pulse with Christina Lee’s knobby knees to Major Nelson’s Minute. It is longer and covers a wider variety of subjects. XBL does have these things broken up into a number of shorter videos, but I like Pulse better.
YouTube and the internet are available over PSN, but though I’ve tried these, I prefer my laptop.
Overall, for my purposes, I say it’s a draw between the two, and there is no clear advantage of one over the other for me. PSN is slightly more annoying with the updates at times for me, and I will spend exponentially more time on XBL, and paying for it, simply because of the value that Netflix HD streaming brings to me.
October 10th, 2009
Roca, I never said Sony was “stealing” from MS, merely copying some of it’s features, and that both companies, all companies do it in some form or fashion.
You could say that “M$ copy Sony for implemeing rumble” but you would be wrong as N64 had the tech before (I believe simulators had haptic tech first) and Sony copied it.
As for “dual sticks” and “shoulder buttons” Sony just doubled up on what already existed before.
“You can also say M$’s is copying Sony’s Eye Toy with Natal” but you would be wrong as computers were already using computer vision, voice recognition, and gesture recognition and Sony copied it.
“you can aslo M$ copied Sony for using disc-based games instead of cartridge” but you would be wrong because PC, Sega CD, 3DO, Jaguar, and Saturn had the tech first and Sony copied it.
“You can also say M$ copied Sony for having HHD and selling HHD and memory card for its console as Sony did that first with its PS3 (FAT)”
? Do you mean HDD? Sorry, but PC’s had it before then and XBox was the first to have it incorporated fully for all game saves. Memory cards were first incorporated in Neo Geo, N64, and Sega Saturn.
The bottom line is I don’t think Sony is “stealing” from Microsoft and I don’t think Microsoft is “stealing” from Sony. They are two companies incorporating successful/potentially successful ideas into their product from a variety of sources in the console, computer, and tech world in order to grow and succeed in the future. It’s what companies do.
October 12th, 2009
oldschool – “Kev it is the same as the others with ‘minor’ differences, which is NOT a bad thing.”
you can label anyting a “minor” difference in your useless and pathetic fanboy opinion. the differences are clearly more than “minor”…
just admit it; you don’t konw what you’re talking about.
“And did you really say a difference is he has a face? ”
no, dips*t…i said he didn’t look the same as master chief in previous halo games, as you claimed….
this is why you’re a fanboy. you lie…then you lie some more to cover it up…
come back when you’ve actually played the game…
October 12th, 2009
He also said Halo ODST was a good game. I guess he must have been lying also…..right Kev?
October 12th, 2009
Roca – anyones definition of “good” is subjective. you can’t lie in an subjective opinion, genius…lmao…
wow…you really shouldn’t have hit submit..lol..
October 12th, 2009
so..you are trying to tell me Halo ODST was NOT a good game? I should’ve known…..Halo stopped being awesome after Halo 2.
October 12th, 2009
Roca – sorry, sport…but that was a weaker than usual attempt.
i didn’t say it wasn’t a good game. i said his opinion can’t be a lie… some even call halo odst “great”…
please try to keep up. if you can’t, graduate the 5th grade first, then try again…
thanks.
October 12th, 2009
well considering the 360 exclusive line-up, I guess you can call ODST “great”.
and please dont talk about 5th grade if you didnt even went to school
October 13th, 2009
LMFAOOOO KEV when i read your comments saying shit like:
‘come back when you’ve actually played the game’
Well it makes me laugh AT you because you keep claiming I ain’t played it as a defense which makes you look pathetic.
In fact as I’m typing this I can see my ODST game sitting happily on my shelf next to my other Halo games so stop chatting shit and do your homework, you don’t want detention now do you?
October 13th, 2009
I have to give this one to the Xbots.
Live has to be the best thing since sliced bread.
Why else would anyone buy a 360? Not for the stable hardware that’s for sure.
Also why are people comparing Live to Home? Home and PSN are two different things.

ncaissie – “Why else would anyone buy a 360? Not for the stable hardware that’s for sure.”
For the same reason why the ps2 outsold eveyone using malfunctioning hardware; the games.

“For the same reason why the ps2 outsold eveyone using malfunctioning hardware; the games.”

October 13th, 2009
oldschool – actually, the lies i’m talking about is your claim that halo odst is just like other halo games. it’s clearly not..
then you hid behind the “it’s only minor differences, imo” routine…. you = joke..

Kev “actually, the lies i’m talking about is your claim that halo odst is just like other halo games. it’s clearly not..”
I have to give to Kev here…ODST is clearly not like any Halo game…it is the worse-review Halo FPS game ever. and a $60 dollar expansion/rip-off
October 14th, 2009
IT IS LIKE THE OTHER FUCKING HALO GAMES! Just because you have to use health packs when your shield fucks off ain’t much of a difference!
The ONLY difference is when you play the Rook wandering around the city, when your the other team members it’s the like the old Halo gameplay I love: ‘loads of killing things’
And thank you Phranc for having my corner, this fucking gay boy Kev is annoying.
Kev you on facebook? I wanna see if you are as old as i think you are? i’ll even give you my name 1st: Liam Mcnulty, the profile pic is my mrs… there’s a few McNultys lol.
How much you betting he’ll say he ain’t got facebook?

roca – and yet, even with all that negative press, it’s STILL outselling all of the ps3′s “console selling” exclusives…. ouch
oldschool – i guess you just missed the absence dual wielding weapons, too. of course if you’d played it, you’d know…but alas… just one more lying ps3 fancow….lmao..
so now you want to move on facebook topics since you’ve been proven to be a liar? typical. anything to avoid the truth…lmao…
October 14th, 2009
roca – actually ODST can be found for $40 now… still want to use the launch price for debates?
good, we can use the $600 price tag of the ps3 for debates too…
October 14th, 2009
retail price for ODST is still $60 sorry.
why dont you take oldschool challenge and prove us that your not the real liar here
October 15th, 2009
Kev there’s been dual wielding since Halo 2 you inbred! So you not gonna tell me your facebook? It’s because your really 10 years old yes?
October 15th, 2009
LMAO at kev lying about the Halo ODST price…. ouch.
EB/gamestop has it for $60
Amazon for $53 (still not $40)
October 15th, 2009
