Cafe World strategy: coins and points

Cafe World strategy: coins and points If you haven’t heard already, Cafe World is a highly addicting Facebook application game that was release a little over a month ago and has since taken Facebook apps by storm, generating over 28 million active monthly users! The game isn’t hard by any means, but it’s a science if you want to be truly successful. GAMER.BLORGE is going to share with you the strategy behind accumulating the most coins and points in the least amount of time.

If you haven’t played Cafe World, I suggest playing before reading this guide, as it’s aimed toward current and advanced players. When you’re looking for coins and points, it’s all in the dishes you cook. I’ve read guides that have calculated only profits per dish, some that have calculated return on investment (ROI) without taking time into consideration, and some that have not even considered standard operating costs such as cleaning stoves! This guide aims to correct all that.

Before I reveal the results, I’d like to explain my logic. When it comes to making money the quickest, I’m going to ask myself, “What dish can I cook that will make me the most profit over x amount of time?” So I’ve come up with Profit Per Hour (PPH), which will be a close to accurate representation of how much money can be made cooking a dish over the course of an hour.

Now the way I’ve handled the dishes are as follows:
We’ll use the bacon cheeseburger as an example. The bacon cheeseburger costs 15 coins to make, but has an adjusted cost of 30 coins as a result of the cost of cleaning the oven after cooking. The time-to-serve on a bacon cheeseburger is 5 min, but we’ll say it takes 6 minutes to account for the slicing, dicing, shaping, and serving times. Therefore, we’re not making 12 bacon cheeseburgers in an hour (since it’s a 5 minute dish), but more realistically 10 per hour (6 minutes each).  Believe it or not, this logic drastically changes the results.

The results

If coins are what you seek, these are the top 10 dishes to cook in order from highest profit per hour (PPH) to lowest PPH:

  1. 248 pph – Overstuffed Peppers
  2. 245 pph – Kungpao Stir Fry
  3. 243 pph – Fiery Fish Tacos
  4. 224 pph – King Crab Bisque
  5. 220 pph – Bacon Cheeseburger
  6. 212 pph – Impossible Quiche
  7. 191 pph – Powdered French Toast
  8. 188 pph – Super Chunk Fruit Salad
  9. 176 pph – Tony’s Classic Pizza
  10. 166 pph – Grand Tandoori Chicken

If you’re after cafe points, the best dishes in order from most cafe points per hour (CPH) to lowest CPH:

  1. 76.4 cph – Chicken Gyro and Fries
  2. 70 cph    – Bacon Cheeseburger
  3. 60 cph    – Powdered French Toast
  4. 60 cph    – Chips and Guacamole
  5. 52.5 cph – Super Chunk Fruit Salad
  6. 40.6 cph – Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail

  2. JofaMang:

Yeah, i had to check that I didn’t accidently click through to another blorge page, hah.

  3. phranctoast:

    lmao.

  4. George Gardner:

Sorry guys, I know you’re into the consoles, but I couldn’t resist.

  5. Roca.:

this is worse than the Wii articles ;)

  6. Barnabe Jones:

I have a facebok. I’m not really into it, but I’ll check this out. Sounds kind of like Cooking Mama.

How about Mafia Wars? I haven’t played it, but it seems like everyone is playing that game on Facebook.

  7. JofaMang:

I don’t use my facebook for games, to be completely honest. If i game on my computer, it is a heavy 3d title that heats up the room by about 2 degrees an hour.

Not to say that it wouldn’t fun (and if I was more mobile with my internet usage I might find a place for FB games) but conversely, if I had a lot of time on the go for gamings, I would have a PSP.

  8. Barnabe Jones:

I have both a PSP and a DS, and they both gather dust. Nothing against either system, but portable gaming just doesn’t fit my lifestyle. Maybe if I traveled more.

Roca – I left you a message in SW’s demon’s souls thread. It’s in regards to cheating ;)

  9. Roca.:

cheating?? wtf are you talking about ;)

  10. JofaMang:

Oh shit, that must be how that dude got his Platinum in 3 hours and 4 minutes, through trades. Can Demon’s Souls be dropped for this trade feature? (or even the standard hero/soldier’s souls?). That would explain what I thought would otherwise be absolutely impossible.

Perhaps I should delevel to 100 and give you guys all the shit you need, hah.

  11. Barnabe Jones:

I think the major/arch demon’s souls can not be dropped, but hero/soldiers souls work.

And if anyone Platinumed this game in 3 hours 4 minutes, they must have cheated.

Even if they did, I’m not sure how you could even beat all of the boards in 3 hours… unless you used dropped souls to raise your level really high and just bulldoze through the game.

  12. Roca.:

so far I havent been able to drop any Boss’s Demon souls.. but hero’s, Storied and Soldier you can drop them for others. I also Can’t Drop any colorless Demon Souls.

you are joking about the deleveling huh?

BJ I replied…Ill be home after 5 again.

  13. Barnabe Jones:

    3 player blorge co-op party?

  14. Roca.:

    @ jofa,

for some reason I dont trust Online stats. you always see some unrealistic stats

for example. in CoD: WaW, if you check the stats for a Nazi Zombie levelm you can many players that have stayed alive for 3500 rounds in like 45 mins.

  15. Barnabe Jones:

Jofa – in your opinion what’s the best armor and weapon?

  16. JofaMang:

Depends. For pure melee, I got with Doran’s armor + North Regalia, especially if you roll heavy with other armor.

For a melee with high faith/Luck Blueblood sword can be very deadly, and performs better in tight spots than North Regalia.

High equip limit, non magic using? Dark Silver armor +shield + North Regalia.

I used the lavabow until i got Sticky +5, totally bitchin bow.

No, I am not kidding Roca. Problem being that at lvl 250, being able to find worlds to raid and suicide in, is very very hard. Would take me a long time to delevel, but probably shorter than rerolling a new toon. I am so close to platinum, that I would rather be able to play with you guys, and once platinum, won’t have need for any of the gear that is rotting in my bank anyhow.

I carry NorthR, Doran armor, Adjudicator/DarkSilver/Flame shields, Silver Coronet, Silver Catalyst, and Talisman of Beasts. Everything else is superfluous.

  17. Barnabe Jones:

I’ve been using dark silver armor with king Doran’s mask. It’s not bad, but I feel like a tank. I would like to have some more movement. Maybe I’ll rock the full Doran suite to try it out.

I need to work on getting North Regalia. I’ve been using the Demon blade, which is slow and eats up my stamina, but effective.

  18. RobertCarr316:

SONY BRING DEMONS SOUL TO EUROPE NOW I NEED IT SO BAD ;(

  19. Roca.:

where is Large Sword of Moonlight

  20. Roca.:

ok where are my fellow Demon’s Souls crew? SW, BJ, jofa (I know you got plat, but at least show u stil care ;) ) ?

  21. JofaMang:

    Hahaha
Moonlight sword is in 5.2. You go to the slug filled area past the first foggy door. There is a wooden ramp that you can access from near the second foggy door. You climb the ramp to the top, it ends at what looks like a bunch of bananas, but it is actually slugs. Hit it a bunch of times, and it drops to the ground. Run back down the ramp (falling from here is death) and you will find the sword where the bunch fell.

  22. Roca.:

“it ends at what looks like a bunch of bananas”

lmaooo ur imagination is impressive. last night when I saw it I was laughing inside my head. I was actually looking for a bunch of “yellow” banana-looking stuff.
