Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Beta announced – exclusively on PS3
The Battlefield series have been known for its focus on betas. It seems like DICE is prepping for its next big release of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 by getting the beta out as early as possible. Today, EA announced that the beta will be exclusively out for the PS3 only.
It’s an interesting time in the video game industry. Two years ago Sony and Microsoft were battling it out for exclusive games, then later battled it out over exclusive DLC. Now it seems like both companies are fighting over exclusive betas. The folks from DICE announced today on the official Playstation and Battlefield blog that the beta for Bad Company 2 will be exclusively made available on the PS3.
The fact that the word ‘exclusive’ is tossed around indicates some sort of deal was struck between EA and Sony. Most likely Sony is supporting marketing efforts and probably even has exclusive ad support for Battlefield: Bad Company 2. It really is surprising that EA has chosen to launch the beta so early, as it will be made available Nov. 19. The full retail game is set to launch in March 2010 timeframe.

Well, Sony is getting more competitive with little deals like this and the Joker. As long as they didn’t pay $50 million for it, and as long as they aren’t hurting the final product for the other system, they aren’t getting just TOO greedy… I don’t know much about the game, though.

I really enjoyed the first. The destructible environments were a nice change, so yeah I’m looking forward to this one.
As for Sony, well about time they started fighting fire with fire.

Sony is definitely getting more competitive now. That’s because the PS3 is not losing like before. If Sony were to buy exclusives and DLC like Microsoft to help Xbox 360 owner to have something does. Microsoft can’t be consider defeated like Dreamncast and Saturn were by Sony. Microsoft better be fear for entering a death chamber. Their greed is starting to catch with them. Sony is with no doubt going to wipe the floor with the Xbox 360. Just look at the massive must have exclusives for PS3 every month.

the 1st game was pretty sweet. idk how it will do next to modern warfare 2 and other must have titles…prolly when this game drops to $30-$40 range ill pick er up. i got the 1st one for like $17

I’m not a COD fan… but it already has the most pre-orders at GamtStop EVER. I think it might be one of the best selling game of all time.
So that means both 360 and PS3 will have 4 COD games on their top 10 selling games list this gen.
How want to place a bet that next year during the holiday season we’ll see a new COD game? I’ll bet a grand right now.

i like the mini games and multiplayer on COD franchise but i dont like how they milk the fuck out of the games but im not purchasing it right away but we all know it will be bigger than halo meaning it’s multiplat;)

Well yeah they will unfortunately sell the hell out of this game and make bukoos of money…but maybe just maybe when gamers see and play this game and realize they just got bent over by activision the next one won’t do so well….crosses fingers…..
