Does the Uncharted 2 story suck?
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves has been well-received in all quarters. Well, except for by Xbox 360 owners eager to pee on any PS3 exclusive that comes along, no matter how good it may be. But it seems not everyone is so enamored with some aspects of the game, with a possible backlash beginning with a rant about the lackluster storyline.
Uncharted 2 is currently sat at number two on the Metacritic chart for PS3 games with a score of 96 percent. It’s only being beaten by GTA IV, making it the top PS3 exclusive. The visuals and gameplay are nigh-on perfect, of that there is no doubt. But is all this goodness rendered pointless by a generic and disappointing narrative?
Dual Shockers believes so, calling out Uncharted 2 for its story and ending, both of which left the writer feeling disillusioned.
Does Gary Marston have a point? Is the storyline the one aspect of Uncharted 2 that fails to deliver? In a word, no. At least not in my personal opinion. Sure, it may be very reminiscent of countless other adventure books, films, and games, but show me a truly original concept in this day and age and I’ll give you a peanut. They’re very few and far between.

I don’t know what they have to complain about. The characters, pacing, and plot were even better than the first. Sure, I doesn’t have as good of a plot twist as the first, but it works fine for me. And I liked the ending.
I just wish that they would’ve kept Eddy Raja. I was so angry that he had to die… he was just too awesome.
Uncharted 2 didn’t really revolutionize anything. That’s because no developers nowadays are willing to put in the effort to match it. How they finished that game in 2 years blows my mind when Killzone 2 took 4 years. Hell, ODST took a year.

Well I withhold my opinion until Black Friday…..when I purchase Uncharted 2.

I love the story is awesome i just started playing a couple hours ago. And the game is just pure fun the story and characters are awesome. The story is one of the greatest thing in the game really great. the game is basically perfect in every way.

Uncharted 2 is an excellent game. I finished it already. It was one of the games I had to have on release day. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with the story line in this game. It’s so good that the opposition is just coming up with crap to try to bash this game.

I haven’t finished it yet, so I can’t comment on the ending. I’m about 75% of the way through the game, and the story has been fantastic so far.
