PS3 exclusive 3D Dot Game Heroes may be coming to Xbox 360
From Software is on a roll, with Demon’s Souls doing extremely well and another title in the pipeline called 3D Dot Game Heroes for the PS3. 3D Dot Game Heroes is an homage to the classic action-adventure RPG games of yesteryears such as the Legend of Zelda. This game has been announced as a PS3 exclusive but there may be hope for Xbox 360 owners.
Those who have previewed 3D Dot Game Heroes (3DDGH) have been raving about this RPG game and its tribute to the classic action-adventure gameplay style. The game uses a stylized 3D pixel graphics to flesh out the characters in this game. The combat and gameplay mechanics are similar to that of the Legend of Zelda.

The game was officially revealed to be coming to the US soon for the PS3 via the official Playstation twitter by Jeff Rubenstein.
He writes:

According to Joystiq this game may make its way to the Xbox 360 as well. Apparently, Hiroyuki Misawa, producer at Silicon Studios stated that an Xbox 360 port is “possible” but that its really up to From Software to make that decision. It seems like the developers are more than willing to port the game onto the Xbox 360, but the decision has to come from higher above.

Andy, the developer said they would like to bring it to the 360, but it’s up to the publisher. The publisher (From) stated a few weeks ago that it was staying exclusive. I would say it’s maybe 50/50 at this point.

Roca, I kicked maneater’s ass for you. It was a long drawn out fight, but I won.
You didn’t get magic sword Makoto because all of the times the black phantoms killed you in body form on 4-1. That’s why I was getting so pissed off at them.
Try using an agnite of guidance (spelling?). It shifts world tendencies more towards extremes. Since we have an unlimited supply of them, they will be really useful for WT events.

I dont think there is a chance for this on the 360. Most devs know the 360 fanbase are heavy on shooters and MP games. From Software had a (bad) taste with the 360 with Ninja Blade was.

I’d say the way games games sell on the 360 in Japan may keep a port from being created. If it becomes critically acclaimed they may go with a NA port.

That’s how I beat Maneater. I just cast kept casting warding. No worries. It’s kind of a long battle. He keeps running away, so it takes a while.
Did you do the Mephastophalies quest? You can only get that ring from doing it. I’m planning on doing that towards the end of my game.
Also a black phantom that kills someone, gets resurrected, then suicides in his nexus so he can invade again seconds later… is a dick. It’s the equivalent of spawn camping in a FPS. It seems like there are a lot of people that do that.

The foe’s ring. Plus she drops stuff that you can only get from her. Check out the guide later to see.
I’m waiting until close to the end of my game. I’ll run through kill all of the NPC merchants, which should give me black CT. When you have pure black CT she appears and asks you to kill the NPCs in the nexus. There are a few items you can only get from her.
Agnite of guidance – is a consumable item. It shifts WT closer to extremes. So if you’re almost White WT, but not quite pure, you can use the item to shit it to pure.

it regen your body 6HP/secs, and if you stack it with Regenerator’s Ring it will do 10HP/secs

I’ll make a list of stuff I need. We can compare and see if we can help each other out.
The bow I gave you, and long sword+10 can be used to make Lava Bow and Morion Blade.
Honestly I think all of the stone trophies are going to be hard to get. I still need pure clear stone if you have it.
I’m just use to using the flame shield. It comes in handy for a few bosses, plus it is stronger then Adjudicator.

I think I have pure clear. what is that good for?
as long as you have one from each stone we’ll be fine. it takes at least 4 playthrough to get platinum so there is no rush to get the stones trophy right now.

The secret dagger +4 that you gave me. It needs clear stone to be upgraded, since it is a unique weapon. I need to get it up to 10 for the trophy.
The sword of searching is made from a piercing (sharp stone) weapon. I think you must have made that from your Schimatar +10.
You have the trophy for clear stone, but I don’t think it’s from the Schimatar. Did you upgrade something else?

I got an idea, im going to use a meltdown stone to turned my Sword of Searching into a Schimatar, idk if I will get it back as a Schimatar +8
but if I do, just trade the Sword of Searching back to me and I will drop the Schimatar +8. lets hope it works as planned.

Well to be fair, I beat the game on my own the first run and 1/4 way through NG+.
Getting all of the weapons takes about 6 play throughs. We’re just cutting it back a bit by trading. The weapons needed for the trophy aren’t even as good as the weapons we have now.
Plus when I first beat the game, I didn’t play online that much. It’s like a whole new game when you play co-op. And it’s even more fun when you actually know the person your co-oping with.

Yeah, it’s hard, but it’s really not THAT hard. It helps checking out a guide before you take on a level or boss.
Plus you can always level up, upgrade equipment, or co-op if you get stuck.
I’m not even sure I’m going to end up with the platinum for it. I’m not sure I can play it all the way through 4 times in a row. I’ll need to take a break at some point.

BJ is not that hard, it took me 50 hrs to finish the first playthrought and 7-10hrs for the second one. I only need to finish world 5 then Ill move on to NG++ (3rd playthrough)

GOW3 demo was so f’in great!!!!!
The lighting effects alone where every time you swing your weapons you see its lighting from fire effects on walls and floor look phenomenal.
The first guy I ever knew that owned a 360 played it this weekend, and said without missing a beat that he will be getting a ps3 for it. He asked if he needed to play the first two before and I showed him the GOW collection video coming out next week and he had a nerdgasm.

But then the black phantoms killed you a few times in a row while you were in body form. Getting killed in body form shits it to black.
I beat 4-1 and 4-2 in body without dying too much. I’ll try to use the Agnites to see if I can make it pure white.

Phranc, 3D Dot heroes is a day one for me. I used to have the original Zelda for NES.
It’s ironic that the game started on Nintendo, but Nintendo turned it’s back on it. They are more concerned with making scales and blood pressure monitors now. I remember “back in the day” when Nintendo cared about video games.

It is in the pit in 4-2 that Patches pushes you into, where you ave urbain from (behind the alter of the first black robed summoning dude) It is the item that was on top of the rock in anything but PWWT. In PWWT it will be on the ground. beware though, I believe the Satsuki Quest can only end in you killing him, heh. You might want to look it up to see how you want the quest to be completed.

yeah the altar where the firs robed dude is after adjudicator(prefaced by a cinema scene the first time entering the room on a playthrough) is above and infront of the the pit that Patches pushes you into.
You don’t finish the quest until you talk to satsuki in 4-1, so just stay away from him when you have it on you, heh.

I beat 4-1 only dying once or twice (thanks black phantom), I just beat 4-2 this afternoon in body form without dying once. I think I should be pretty close. If not, we can co-op 4-3 in my world tonight and that should do it. As long as I don’t dye in body form.

That’s going to be great.
I’m not sure what to think about FF XIV. Supposedly the only reason it’s not coming to the 360 is it’s going to be free to play.
On the other hand, I really don’t think the game will be free to play. SE is still planning expansions for FF XI. No one in their right mind would pay to play FF XI when XIV is free.
I don;t care if it comes to the 360 or not, I just want it to be free to play. Which I highly doubt it will be.

I stand by my belief that FFXIV will not be FTP. It just doesn’t make sense.
FFXI was exclusive to the PS2, until it wasn’t anymore. There is no reason that this game can’t go the same way.
