GTA IV DLC exclusivity expires for Xbox 360
Grand Theft Auto IV has one of the biggest DLC deals in video game history between Rockstar and Microsoft. The studio created two substantial DLC content exclusively for one platform, the Xbox 360. However, the word on the street is that the exclusivity around this content is set to expire very soon.
The Lost and Damned is the first DLC to get released over XBL back in February of this year. The Ballad of Gay Tony, the second DLC was recently released not that long ago on XBL. In only a few short months, The Lost and Damned will have its first one year anniversary creating speculation that the exclusivity between Microsoft and Rockstar for the content to remain on the Xbox 360 may be coming to an end.
GTA4.net [via Kotaku] discovered that a new patch was recently released for GTA IV on the PC that added achievement support for The Lost and Damned. As Kotaku stated the achievement for the first DLC on the PC hints “that the Xbox 360-exclusivity surrounding the episode is due to expire.â€
I know that some of you may jump to conclusions that this may mean that the PS3 will get the DLC, but there is no evidence to indicate that. Don’t forget, Microsoft paid $50 million for the DLCs, which is more than what it costs to make most games. For example here are the speculated costs for some of big name games: Gran Turismo 5 – $60 million, Halo 3 – $60 million, GTA IV – $100 million. Microsoft may be okay with the DLC coming to the PC, but there may be a longer timed period for the PS3, if there is one at all.

I still haven’t beaten 4 yet. So I don’t really care.
It sounds a lot like the Fall Out 3 DLC which was touted as “exclusive” during M$’s E3 show.
Guess what? I didn’t buy that either. Developers should discount DLC that arrives late. I would have bought the FO3 DLC day one, but instead I’ll wait and buy the GOTY edition used. It’s the developers loss. Anything that is a timed exclusive, I refuse to buy.

If you had bothered to actually read and understand that little wikipedia article you linked to, you would realize that the criminals involved were members of the 372nd Military Police Company of the United States Army, not the United States Marines, and certainly not myself. You would also realize they were convicted and tried under the UCMJ, which deals with all members of the military who commit criminal acts.
If you feel I am “talking down to” you, perhaps you should explore that reaction in feeling you have, as I am only stating facts.

The TV news media has done an AWESOME job of letting the viewers ASSUME that it was religously motivated. So far the only hint of that, is completely unconfirmed reports of him shouting God is Great in Arabic once, before opening fire. These unconfirmed reports only floated to the top of the cess-pool that is western news-reporting, well after the fact that he was muslim was all over the news. This sort of sensationalism and open prejudice in the media is the most repulsive part of western life, imo. Once upon a time a journalist would be fired for bring unconfirmed reports of ANYTHING to a news report, let alone trying to ignite racial and social tensions for the sake of ratings.

Looks like you did not actually read the articles, just the title. If you did you would see where I wrote, “As it is, the PS2 still dominates in overall quality games due to it’s being on the market for over 7 years, and it is still selling well. If the PS3, 360, or Wii last as long in the future, they all have a good chance of repeating it’s success.”
That was a year and a half ago, and the 360 still has more favorably reviewed titles overall (292 to PS3′s 199 on MC). Regardless, that still didn’t stop me from getting a PS3 for great titles like Uncharted, Infamous, Demon’s Souls, and God of War C & III.
As I noted in the article back then, the price drop, redesign, trophies incorporated as standard, and even more quality exclusive titles (even though they do not outnumber total 360 well reviewed titles) have helped spike PS3 sales.
I suggest you start writing reviews right away in order to help the PS3 catch up faster. I’m sure MetaCritic will instantly recognize the distinct and purely objective, fact-based quality of your reviews and give you the highest credibility instantly, therefore advancing your goal of ultimate PS3 world domination

I understand, but they really are not that different from you or I… a sincere belief in something, a certain set of knowledge and experience, and a way of looking at the world and certain organizations within it. Any person at any given time can “piss the rest of the world off”, it doesn’t matter whether they are as good as Jesus (or any other holy figure, paragon of civilization, etc… you choose) or evil as Satan (or figure of your choice).
You might “piss the rest of world off” at any given time by portraying an entire country as evil, instead of only certain people within it (i.e. only those responsible or who condoned certain crimes against humanity). I might do this simply by being in the U. S. military, which has had members that have done great deeds of valor, saving many lives in the process, but also those who have committed crimes against humanity.
Regardless of those within the organization who lead and do the right thing, often times they will be branded “baby killers” and “torturers of women and children” simply because the certain crimes of a very few are what make the media headlines, broadcast worldwide almost instantly, while we are lucky if a fraction of what we do good gets buried in a newspaper.

They don’t attack you head on, they leave IED’s (Improvised Explosive Devices for you civvies lol)on a road and when we’re on patrol vehicle or foot patrol they explode and take out whoever is in the blast radius. They leave bombs for you to walk into then run away.
When I was last in Afghan we lived in the trenches for 7 months under contact every single day and we had 267 confirmed kills and we had minimal casualties thank god. So how exactly are they kicking our ass?
