Round up: Zipper on 2nd PS3 game and Battlefield: BC2 beta impression
Zipper Interactive has been hard at work on MAG with the launch window looming close. However, it seems like the folks over at Zipper Int. have been working on a second secret PS3 project. Could this be the infamous SOCOM 4 everyone has been talking about? In other news, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 beta is in full swing.
PS3 Center, managed to dig up some information from the LinkedIn pages of several of the Zipper Int. developers. According to LinkedIn pages, it seems like Zipper Int. is working on a second “unannounced project†for the PS3 besides MAG. The rumor circulating around the Web is that Zipper Int. is working on the next proper iteration of SOCOM 4. HooYah.
I have been fully engaged in the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 beta and I have to say it’s ridiculously addictive. I’ve been alternating my gameplay between Modern Warfare 2 and BC2 lately. One thing I’ve noticed is the distinct game dynamics between the two games.
In MW2 you will die instantly most of the time and spawn quickly to charge back into death. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is a different beast altogether as you will live longer and try to actually strategize with your close squad mates. Also, the squad spawn is awesome. The ridiculous amount of vehicles makes surviving longer easier as well. Stay tuned for more impressions of the game.

I dunno about ‘ridiculous amount of vehicles’… Once you get past the first ‘stage’ the vehicles dry up.
I hope they update the beta with a new map or something soon.
Other than that, I’m enjoying it alot. Can’t wait for it to land so I can buy it on PC \o/

Con has been doing that for well over a year now. At first I wanted to reach through the computer and choke him out, but now I just don’t read his comments. I’m not giving him the satisfaction.

I loved Confrontation, but online-only wasn’t for me.

My fear with fable is the wierd direction they seem to be taking it.
It needs a better combat system and better exploration. Sure buying houses and shit was kinda fun, but again, it wasn’t very deep. I think I may have actually prefered fable 1 over fable 2 for the most part.

Mike that is exactly why I think I will not buy Modern Warfare 2 because it is just to easy to die. No fun in that. It is full of campers just waiting for you to be in their vision and then bang your daed and you did not even see who shot you until the replay. I think Battle Field Bad Company 2 will be a much better game. I only care to play the campaign in Modern Warfare 2 and that is it.

I can understand how you might not be privy to the history of Xbots making claims about people using multiple logins to support themselves. BTW all those claims were disputed by George and his review of the IPs. At one point HH/CAD/CON were basically playing spin the bottle with their accusations.
