The Medal Of Honor series was/is an important one as it set the tone and acted as the basis for the series which came after it. Most notably, of course, it led to the creation of Infinity Ward and the creation of the Call Of Duty series. Modern Warfare 2 has been ultra successful, so is now the right time for EA to create and release a new Medal Of Honor title?

When Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune first came out a couple of years ago, many hailed the game as the best looking title on the home consoles this generation. However, with the launch of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, the geniuses at Naughty Dog aimed to up the ante. However, is it good enough to raise the bar once again?

Here we are slap-bang in the middle of a recession yet Activision decides not only to ramp up the RRP of Modern Warfare 2 but also to release two new rhythm-action games, both of which come with their own (expensive) peripherals. The company is already planning new Guitar Hero, DJ Hero, and Band Hero games in 2010 but it’s eyeing less SKUs. Which is some small relief I guess.

We’ve all moved on from GTA IV now, right? The latest installment of the long-running Grand Theft Auto series was a massive hit last year but the release of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 means GTA IV has now been superseded as the fastest-selling game of all time. But don’t worry, as GTA V is on the way, although it may be further away than some people have assumed.

Xbox Live recently achieved a new milestone as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 launched recently. Apparently, roughly two million gamers were on XBL playing online at once, which is a new record for the service. This is truly a testament to the power of Modern Warfare 2.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves may be the best looking game on the consoles to date. The graphics look stunning with beautiful high-res textures running at a solid framerate. The secret to Naughty Dog’s success apparently lies in the full utilization of the SPUs on the PS3.

Only days after the massive ban Microsoft initiated, hackers have been hard at work figuring out how to circumvent the ban. It seems like some modders have made some advancements on un-banning their Xbox 360s with limitations. Will Microsoft react to this with another wave of bans?

Bobby Kotick, CEO of Activision might be one of the most hated figures in the gaming industry right now, but you can’t deny his brilliance. Straight off the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Kotick made a cool $20 million off-loading Activision stocks.

Final Fantasy XIII has felt like it’s been an age in arriving. But it’s now finally on its way. The Dec. 17 release date in Japan was already known, but the release date for the United States and Europe was announced today, embedded in a brand new video trailer from Square Enix.

NPD has released the U.S. sales figures for October. The recession continued to hit the video games sector, with sales down 19 percent over last year. September sales went against the grain, and it’s hoped that November will too thanks to the release of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 2. But October wasn’t a good month overall.
