inFAMOUS sells 1.2 million and free DLC on the way
inFAMOUS was a great title that kept things interesting during the dry summer season. Sony recently revealed sales figures for the title and it looks like sales were pretty decent.
According to the official Playstation blog, inFAMOUS sold over 1.2 million copies over a span of four months, from June to October. SCEA marketing manager Asad Qizibash congratulated Sucker Punch on reaching a nice milestone for the new IP.
There is already a rumor of a sequel to inFAMOUS in the works. Also, it looks like Sucker Punch will be giving out free DLC to all inFAMOUS owners on Dec. 10 as a little Christmas gift. The DLC will be Cole’s Gigawatt Blades super power.
If you haven’t pick up inFAMOUS yet, it might be a good time to do so as Sony will be dropping the price of the title to $39.99 in time for the holidays and it’s not even a Greatest Hits yet.

At least according to VGC, that isn’t even close CAD. Resistance 1&2, Motorstorm, GT5P, Uncharted 1&2, LBP, KZ2, Ratchet & Clank ToD, and Heavenly Sword come in after MGS4 in the window of 1-3.6M in sales per title. LBP, HS, R1, UC1, and Motorstorm are the new IP’s there. I’m not sure which of these sold faster in the same period though.

Ps3 has so many quality games. My friend mentioned to me the other day that he wants to sue Sony. I asked him for what? He says he wants to sue Sony for releasing too many games. He says he is going to have a break down because he can’t get to all of the games.

Yes, those multiplatform games that don’t offer anything new tend to get lower review scores anyway. Fortunately there are plenty of games (multiplatform and exclusive) that are top notch and well reviewed coming out left and right for each platform.

actually, MW2, Madden 10, RockBand Beatles, all guitar hero games be getting good reviews but what they offer can be easily patched via updates.
I never said there are not top notch multiplatform btw. I just like the quality of the PS3 first party titles.

We all love Sony’s first party games they are just extremely fun long and have awesome multiplayer and great story and unrivaled graphics same goes for second and third party exclusive on PS3. I hope inFAMOUS 2 turns exactly like UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves did. Also i hope the film is as good too.

In other Infamous news… it actually made Game Informer’s list of top 200 games of all time. Pretty surprising.
Their list as a whole has a lot of inconsistencies on it though.

It seems to have had you engaged for the past few days roca (D-Roca Playing Team Deathmatch in Highrise). Those reviews are for last gen, and for another genre, I wouldn’t take it too hard. Regardless, it seems MW2 has taken online gaming by storm:

CoD4 above FF7? I dont think so. I have beating FF7 about 15 times…completed 100 of the game. (beat every single enemy, got all enemy skills, beat the to Emeny Weapon in the ocean and in the desert, got all Materias, all limit breaks, all weapons, did all side quests, got all chocobos color, etc) I beat it most recently after finishing Crisis Core and after I bought the downloadable version on my PSP.

and yes i have been playing alot of MW2 (not MW1) to kill time while I wait for my new 120hz LED TV, I should arrive anytime between today and friday.
once it arrive I will start playing R+C: ACIT, AC2, U2 (online + 2nd playthrough), GoW Collection (GoW2), NGS2 and DA:O.

I guess they shouldn’t have included FFVII at all then. Everybody has personal favorites, and no matter who makes the list, everybody thinks their’s should be ahead of other games on it. Go make your own top 200 list on the forums if you feel that strongly about it.

Right people I need help because my PS3 has gone man down on me, it’s broke! lol.
When I turn it on it freezes before it get’s to the profiles, the screen starts flashing weird colors that look like static or sometimes when I turn it on no picture comes on at all. It’s not anything to do with the HD setting it’s the actual console… any experts among you? lol

if you have the FAT PS3,
when powering on the system by pressing the “Power button” (not the PS button on the DS3) hold it down for 5 secs until you hear the second “beep”.

I had a similar issue on my 60gb shortly before I sold it. Accessing the recovery console and rebuilding the database fixed it. Back Up your save games first

Freezes up in the recovery console? I am referring to the menu accessed by holding down the button to shutdown, right until 2 beeps, then pressing the power button again, not the regular options available in the XMB.

Yeah tried that many times mate, it comes up with the 6 options? Well it comes up then freezes and the picture goes all distorted with green dots everywhere. I phoned Sony and they think it’s something to do with the graphics inside *sigh* lol.

I don’t know, I have not played it yet. I have just moved from Dragons Age to God of War Collection. Borderlands is up next. I would say that any game where you get shot multiple times and do not need to recover for a prolonged period is not realistic, even with the best body armor available, you will go down. “Cannon Fodder” is more realistic in that regard.

As for weapons depiction, sounds, explosions, smoke, weather, clothing, uniforms, settings, etc. these are very realistic from what I have seen.
