McCartney fails The Beatles: Rock Band
How great must it be being a rock star. You get fame, fortune, as many women as you want, and these days to see your songs featured in a video game. If you’re Paul McCartney you get a whole game made about your time in what was undoubtedly the greatest band of all time. Unfortunately, that doesn’t guarantee greatness in the game.
In an interview with The Times, McCartney was asked whether he’d played The Beatles: Rock Band yet. He answered:
Yeah, my assistant showed me how to set it up ’cos I’m not Mr Tech. I lost twice. On Easy. And I was playing bass, I’m ashamed to say. It’s all red and green and yellow buttons. I said, ‘Can we start this again?’
There you have the very essence of Rock Band in a nutshell, delivered by living legend Paul McCartney – “It’s all red and green and yellow buttons.” Was Paul expecting gamers to have to actually master the guitar, bass, and drums in order to mimic The Beatles?
McCartney is probably just too old to master Rock Band at his stage in life. That arthritis can be a real killer. And I doubt his ex-wife Heather Mills is very good at drums … think about it.

i rather play Amplitude or Frequency. Guitar Hero and Rock Band both suck and have awful music.

The only Guitar Hero game that I thought was okay was Guitar Hero Metallica and some songs on Legends of Rock.
