Spike VGAs to unveil 11 new games for PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii
The biggest video gaming event around this time of the year is the Spike Video Game Awards show. The show will award the top games out this year based on category. The VGAs has grown to also be the place for publishers to announce new upcoming games.
According to Geoff Keighley of Gametrailer via his Twitter page, there will be over 11 new games revealed at the VGAs. So far it has been revealed that Halo: Reach will get a showing along with a new Star Wars game from Lucas Arts. Some other games teased are Spec Ops, and Tron Legacy.
Even with the games revealed so far, there is still a great deal of titles under wraps until the VGAs. However, I highly suspect that most of the games that will be revealed at the show will be smaller titles, as most of the big games for 2010 have already been announced. You can check out the VGA on Spike on Dec. 12, this Saturday.

I just read that about Quantum Theory. I’m guessing they are trying to cast a wide a net as possible after early previews of the game weren’t very positive.
I’m still up in the air. I need to see more of it.

I guess Tecmo wont utilize the full power of the PS3 now.
one thing that sucks about this game is no co-op mode. Gears has this and its alot of fun. if they are going to make a “gears ripoff” they should at least include every feature gears has and come up with their own new features.

i think i have finally figured out why my ps3 has kept YLOD on me for the past week
Every morning for the past week i have woken up and gone down to my ps3 and every morning except for one my ps3 has YLOD on me but when i arrive home from school at 4:30 its working again and i think its down to the tempreture of the room
my ps3 is in the living room of my home which is lined with a wooden floor which makes it very cold in the mornings but when i arrive home from school the room is much warmer thanks to the radiators in the room so one morning i got up pushed the power button 3 times and got the YLOD 3 times so what i did was put a heater beside my ps3 and left it for 10-15 mins and when i came back and pushed the power button it started to work perfectly
so i think this has been the reason my ps3 has been YLOD on me for the past week but this may not be accurate im trying to get a thermometer so i can get a correct reading on the tempreture in the room

Trying blasting out the dust with compressed CO2, especially fi there are smokers or pets in your home. A buildup of dust/hair will insulate the heatsinks on any electronic device, and allow heat buildups that might instigate protective auto shut-offs.

OK, So I think I screwed up my DA:O game.
Short version:
-Went to red cliffe – needed mages
-Went to mages – went through tower now in the fog
-making my way through fog with no healing items and no way to heal, dying 5x in every room I set foot in. Get lucky and beat it, and save. Repeat.
So basically I’m hours into a one way trip with no way to heal and probably under leveled. A little bit annoyed.
Why do the shops only carry 4 healing items at a time? Probably should load a file a had from hours back and restart, but I’m too stubborn.

My PS3 has been fine knock on wood. During the summer the fan kicked on high a few times, probably because it’s in a small space without much ventilation. But aside from that, no problems.

u said u had the 40 gb model? u can do a fan test on them. I have one also but idk if it is a fan test or something for jammed disks or what not…but u turn the switch off in the back hold down on the eject button for like 10 sec and turn the switch on and fans kick on for a lil bit to either clean it out internally or for disks idk…but i heard it’s not really meant for cleaning so i do it like 1-2 times a year

My fan spools up on my PS3 quite often actually, especially during extended gameplay. It has been this way since I got it. Could be the model I have (BC Motorstorm bundle) as the only other person with the same problem has the same model.
It never revs up anywhere but during gaming. I remember it did it the first time I took it out of the box. My old 60gb ps3 never did it, but also had a louder fan at idle.

I should mention that it is not in an enclosed space, and I clean it very regularily with CO2 in the front end vents and a vaccum (not touching or brush attachment) at the back end.

A new twisted metal is high on my list. Twisted Metal games are a big reason I go with the PS brand over others.

I was never really that attached to the twisted metal games, had a lot of fun with the PS1 games, was pretty dissapointed with the lack of innovation in the PS2 iterations, and will have to be won over if there is a PS3 version.

TM Black was great and innovative. The Prison ship level alone where it opened up to several new areas as the ship progressed was something new for its time. Not to mention the story was so Twilight Zone like.
I have to agree with the PSP to PS2 remake though. It was just filling a gap.

I find car based shooting games (interstate 76 baby!) are a little bland. You’re stuck on one plane, if that makes sense and I find it kind of annoying sometimes.
That said, I do remember having lots of fun on TM black. I’d love an open world style mixed with a 3rd person type game where you could get out of your car sometimes

A fully fledged demon souls rpg with a huge world and tonnes of castles the size of stage 1… That would be heaven….

I think it’s a good chance.
Demon’s Souls managed to outsell Ratchet and Clank in NA. Sony/From/Atlas would be crazy not to follow up on the game’s success.

I doubt it, I will probably get platinum for Uncharted 2, GoW2, Trine, R+C and maybe AC2.
if I get all 5 I will have a total of 12.
I fucked up on Dead Space (final stage). I saved at point where I need to take out a bunch of those aliens but I dont have enough ammo and I cant go back to buy any ammo untill I kill them all. so I wont be get a platinum for that. Idk how the hell you have plat for LBP.
