PS3 PSN premium service survey details revealed
Sony recently revealed that the company was looking into implementing a premium level service on the PS3’s PSN. The president of SCE assured gamers that the current level of service would remain completely free. A new survey leaked online may reveal what features Sony is considering incorporating into the premium level service.
Engagdet was able to get a hold of one of the alleged surveys. The survey is just that – a list of features, asking gamers what they are willing to pay for and what they feel should be free. Since all of the features listed in the survey do not exist it makes sense for Sony to gauge what makes sense to charge.

Here is a list of features from the survey:
- Customer Service Priority Access
- Exclusive Experiences with Sony Brands
- Extended Console Warranty Three Years
- Access to Beta Games
- Early Access to All Store Content
- Member Demo Sharing of Full Game
- Cross-game Voice Chat Access
- Full Title Trial – First Hour Is Free
- Token Wagering
- User-to-user Challenges
- Free Access to PSOne Classics, PSP Minis, and PS3/PSP Themes
- Discounts on Store Content
- Member Only In-game Content
- Trophy Alerts
- Cloud Storage Space for Games
- Online Music Service
- Online Music Video Service
- Automatic Downloads and Updates
- Loyalty Program Rewards
- Facebook Connectivity
- Catch-up TV
- Netflix Access Without Disc
If I were to fill out the survey, I would indicate that some of those features should not be part of the premium service such as Cross-game Voice Chat Access, and Netflix Access w/o Disc.
However, there are some really cool features I would be more than willing to pay money for such as Free Access to PSOne Classics, PSP Minis and Full Title Trial – First Hour is Free. This sounds awfully like the subscription/rental rumors that have been floating around for some time. Apparently, gamers will be able to download a set number of PSOne Claissics or Minis per month for free with the subscription.
The Cloud Storage Space for Games sounds like a pretty neat idea. Also, the online music and video service sounds like something I would be interested in. I would also pay to have Catch-up TV service on my PS3 as I am a big fan of watching specific TV shows whenever I want.
One feature on the list that I thought was a bit questionable was the Extended Console Warranty – Three Years. Either this has to be a joke or someone at Sony has a sense of humor. All in all, the survey lists out a a good amount of interesting features. For those interested in learning more, head on over to Engadget to read the descriptions for each of the features.

Strange, I thought Facebook connectivity existed?

Im down for:
-Access to Beta Games
-Early Access to All Store Content
-Full Title Trial – 1st Hour Is Free
-Free Access to PSOne Classics, PSP Minis, and PS3/PSP Themes
-Discounts on Store Content
-Member Only In-game Content
-Cloud Storage Space for Games
I couldn’t care less about all the other stuff. but then again, im happy with what’s already being offered for free
December 24th, 2009
Alot of interesting things there. I like the idea of free access to the clasic games, minis, and themes.
I also like the sound of the Full title trial but I don’t think that 1 hour would be enough time on some games. For example I have played RPG’s where you don’t even get into a battle until after at least an hour into the game. That definately would not be enough time in that case.
December 24th, 2009
for most RPG games, the first hour is the most boring one too!
December 24th, 2009
Well so far Roca is the only one back peddeling. I can’t wait to see how many are going to say it is OK to pay for these services. Payback is a Bitch especially after all the you have to pay for Xbox LIVE crap over the years. If I don’t hear outrage you guys are so full of shit. Unfortunatly LIVE will still be better.
December 24th, 2009
Well Merry Christmas Everyone and enjoy the Holidays.
December 24th, 2009
@CAD: Apparently you didn’t see where it says you can still play on-line for FREE? Let me rephrase it for ya…Anybody can buy a ps3 and right out of the box hook it up on-line and play games for FREE. And we all know how the other console does it lol. Sony is making LIVE obsolete. The reasons for getting a X-box are getting fewer and fewer.
December 24th, 2009
* Customer Service Priority Access – sounds cool

* Exclusive Experiences with Sony Brands – I’m not sure what exactly this means
* Extended Console Warranty 3 Years – I need an extra warranty
* Access to Beta Games –
* Early Access to All Store Content – Great feature
* Member Demo Sharing of Full Game – Cool
* Cross-game Voice Chat Access – Shouldn’t have to pay for this
* Full Title Trial – 1st Hour Is Free – That is awesome!
* Token Wagering – Don’t know, don’t care
* User-to-user Challenges –
* Free Access to PSOne Classics, PSP Minis, and PS3/PSP Themes – Worth paying for
* Discounts on Store Content – This reason alone makes it worthwhile, the savings over time would be huge
* Member Only In-game Content – That’s cool
* Trophy Alerts – Don’t really need this
* Cloud Storage Space for Games – Not completely sure what this is, I need to keep up on the tech of today…
* Online Music Service – Don’t have an opinion on that
* Online Music Video Service – No opinion
* Automatic Downloads and Updates – Ummm, ok?
* Loyalty Program Rewards – Need more info before opinion
* Facebook Connectivity – I don’t want a facebook
* Catch-up TV – I have DVR, don’t need this
* Netflix Access Without Disc – Don’t use netflix
December 24th, 2009
So would you HAVE to subscribe from now on, or can you continue to have the current service?
It’s not a case of only having one service or the other is it?
I think if you can justify paying for xbl, you can’t really argue that this new PSN experience isn’t worth the cost.
December 24th, 2009
It sounds like a good deal, especially since I can still play online games and have the whole current service for free. And as ViRuS said, don’t start telling me that Live is worth the cost and this isn’t (especially since we don’t actually know the cost or how good it will actually be).
Merry Christmas to all and to all a goo’ mornin’.
December 24th, 2009
If its pay to play games, then Sony can kiss my fat white ass.
December 24th, 2009
*If its pay to play games online…
December 24th, 2009
But it’s not.
December 24th, 2009
SW
Trust me I know that but the point that was always made was that PSN is free. I don’t care if your online is free. A fee is a fee and if any of you get this extra service your a hypocrite.
December 24th, 2009
@CAD
you had to pay for movies/TV shows/premium themes/most DLC/PSN games/Quore magazine…etc before as well.
The only thing free was the ability of online play. If you heard anything else it’s a safe bet you misunderstood people or are purposely doing so now to make a point….which is pretty childish IMO.
December 24th, 2009
“A fee is a fee and if any of you get this extra service your a hypocrite.”
I do not agree.
I’m probably repeating what Phranco said but here goes
If if if, online play, all current features, and extensions of current features remain free then I don’t see purchasing an EXTRA service on top (such as ‘renting’ PS1 games) as an issue.
There’s been plenty of pay to buy/rent content on the US PSN for a while know as far as I understand it.
As with XBL, I don’t hate XBL because of the extra stuff (e.g. netflix) that they offer, its the pay to play gaming for every game (yeah yeah, its pennies a month…).
But yes, if they make games or anything currently available pay to use then they along with MS can go fuck themselves.
December 24th, 2009
What CAD maybe saying is the previous argument between psn and live was free vs $50. The whole argument from PS3 fanboi is psn will be free and that is y sony is console of choice. Apparently now it’s ok for sony to charge a fee.
December 24th, 2009
@CAD
This subscription fee means that they are ADDING a premium service. You can still have all of the previous PSN features for free, and I’m sure that they will still update normal PSN. I’m not sure that you’re proving anything, unless you are simply taking a jab at Ivan or something.
If Sony was changing the whole fee system to be exactly like XLB’s, that would be a CON (no pun intended). Making a premium service that would allow you to download games that were previously available for a price, for free, that just means more options, more content, and overall, a PRO for PSN (probably).
That’s how I think it will be. It could end up being a rip-off, or they could abandon the free service. If that was the case, I wouldn’t be so bright and happy about the whole subject.
December 24th, 2009
Sony already stated that everything that was previously free on the psn will remain so. That means we still get to play on-line for FREE. So what is so hard to understand about this? What is the big argument?? The only thing we don’t know for sure is what all the new features will be for a pay service. The key word there is NEW. The fact still remains that you get to play on-line games with friends FREE on the PS3 and you get charged for it on the X-box.
December 24th, 2009
@Ghost – You make me feel at ease
Merry xmas to ya
December 24th, 2009
Everything in there seem like live except minus-ing the online play. Such as netflix, facebook, music like last.fm, exclusive demo and the biggest one is cross game voice chat. Unless free online play is really the biggest deal of all when it comes to subscription.
TBH netflix aint free either and I don’t mind paying $9 a month for it, let alone $3.50 a month for live.
December 24th, 2009
I can’t wait i will have two pay account also everything we get now would still remain %100 free so this is just a fucking sweet ass deal. Microsoft better upgrade from Gold membership to Platinum membership to meet Sony’s new standards.

Now THIS, this is how pay-to-play online should be.
Comon xbots, even you gotta admit, this is how services should be charged for. Those that don’t give a shit about this stuff and just want to play online won’t bother with this. And those that care for premium offers will take advantage of it. You should Not need to pay just to play online with your friends. Sigh… Microsoft.
Sure you can argue the “you get what you pay for”..blah blah.
But look at it this way, if you haven’t noticed that the PSN has gotten (and is still getting) a lot better and better, then you’ve been living under a rock. Do you think Sony is gonna stop ther? No, the PSN is going to continue to improve and Microsoft is gonna look like a bunch of greedy sons of b*tches, Oh wait…
And now that Sony will be earning a few bucks for paid services, you can bet improvements are going to come faster.
December 24th, 2009
Happy Holiday to everyone!
December 24th, 2009
Merry X-mas to you to SW and to everyone else also. Vek dude what is up with your pic? Every time I see that beady eyed bastard it makes my skin crawl for some reason. lol
December 24th, 2009
“Those that don’t give a shit about this stuff and just want to play online won’t bother with this”
Just like those who don’t “give a shit” about playing online won’t bother with Gold, unless of course they want Netflix with superior nav and resolution without having to put a disc in the tray that is already holding the game they are currently playing (looks like Sony is planning on charging for this, let alone cross game chat, considering how both of these features are in their crosshairs on the survey, let alone the 3 year warranty which would have already come in handy for a couple of PS3 owners here, judging by their comments about YLOD and disc read errors.)
Nice $7000+ PC Game Rig Ivan, I think I’ll just stick with my 360 to play PC games for now though
December 25th, 2009
Carly Carly Carly,
Wouldn’t it be nice to just be able to play online without paying in the first place? yes or no
PS3 Owner:
”
” Yay I just got GTA4. I wonder how it is online… Hmmm, I’ll just check it out now. (goes online and plays a few games). Ok, that wasn’t that great, I’ll just stick with single player. Good thing I had the choice of being able to go online without paying!
Xbox Ownder without Gold:
Not the same story.
December 25th, 2009
What!!!?!….Well I’m auctioning off my PS3 and 360 on Ebay. Who wants it?? It’s an original 60gb with FULL backward compatibility. But I refuse to pay for online play. EVER!!!
December 25th, 2009
It’s time to break out the N64, Sega Dreamcast, and PC. I’ve had it with the 360/PS3/Wii generation. Worst. Video Game. Generation. Ever. EVERRRRRR.
December 25th, 2009
“Carly Carly Carly, Wouldn’t it be nice to just be able to play online without paying in the first place? yes or no”
Vicky Vickie Vekie, I don’t care, I don’t play online in the first place.
360 Owner:
“Yay I just got GTA4.” Now that I’m through with the single player game, I wonder how this DLC is that received “universal acclaim” reviews on MetaCritic is. Okay, that was awesome. “Good thing I had the choice of being able to” play it!
PS3 Owner without DLC:
“Not the same story.”

CarlB said: “unless of course they want Netflix with superior nav and resolution”
Sorry Carl, you will never sell me on netflix. In my opinion, streamed content will never be better than disc, especially if people are on metered internet. Not to mention the buffering and bandwidth requirements.
Superior nav and resolution ….. are you serious ??!!
Happy xmas to everyone and a safe New Year
December 25th, 2009
I do agree with CarlB that I have no interest in online gaming on consoles, so I don’t have or need Live Gold. But in saying that, I wouldn’t pay just for the privilege to play online either when it’s free on PC and ps3.
December 25th, 2009
“Sorry Carl, you will never sell me on netflix.”
I have no need or desire to Spidey, as I already enjoy blu-ray discs, DVD’s, and HD streaming (added as a supplement to the already existing disc rental service at no extra charge) through Netflix thoroughly.
“Superior nav and resolution ….. are you serious ??!!”
Yes, I am. I have the PS3 disc, and I’ve noticed this version has extremely clunky nav and slightly degraded resolution with HD streaming content. Maybe this will get fixed in the year(s) to come (at a “premium” price?), maybe not. It’s safe to say the 360 version is still superior at this point. It’s too bad your internet is metered and you do not have high bandwidth though, that has to suck. I doubt I will get Netflix in Okinawa though, so I’ll have to find something else anyway in the next few months.
December 25th, 2009
Nice comeback Carl
. Should of saw that one coming before I used GTA as an example lol. As much as I would like to continue on with our little “PS3 and Xbox owner” story, my holiday spirit is just too damn high right now and I dont feel like hating.
so Merry Christmas
December 25th, 2009
You know what I mean Carl, Yes, you are not trying to sell netflix to me literally. What I meant is that you do spruk about netflix over BD ALOT !!!! Which is fair enough, if thats how you feel
When you are talking “Superior nav and resolution” are talking between the 360 and ps3 netflix variants ?? If that is the case, my apologies, I thought the comparison was for netflix v BD.
You will probably find that not many places in the world (except US, UK etc in all regions too) have affordable, quality unmetered internet. I don’t see streamed content even being thought of as mainstream until the majority of the world has superior and affordable internet.
December 25th, 2009
relax future of sega
its only added stuff that costs and it’s optional if u want them…the psn is still free and multiplayer is still free
December 25th, 2009
i do agree though this vid gen is not living up to what i hoped just bc it took this long to deliver some good games for the ps3…360 having the rrod…and wii being a childs toy and selling so well…
December 25th, 2009
Thanks Vek, same to you… and remember, be sure to sniff the eggnog BEFORE you drink it, and do not eat the fruitcake
Merry Christmas bro.
“you do spruk about netflix over BD ALOT !!!!”
Huh? The great thing about Netflix is it comes with Blu-ray discs and DVD’s in the mail. HD streaming is comparable to BD, but BD still has a verrry slight edge. That said, I appreciate the ability to enjoy both, especially as a lot of content still has not made it to BD, and I hardly notice the difference between BD and HD streaming on 360′s Netflix.
“When you are talking ‘Superior nav and resolution’ are talking between the 360 and ps3 netflix variants ?? If that is the case, my apologies, I thought the comparison was for netflix v BD.”
Yes I was talking about 360 and PS3 variants, but applying it to Netflix vs BD, the “nav” superiority would be the ability to navigate through tens of thousands of shows/movies and watch them instantly, while BD still holds the adv. for “extras”, pausing, etc. Again, I still think HD streaming is comparable for where I live and on my setup, but the differences could be much more vast on a higher end system (esp. sound in favor of BD).
The U.S. and Japan are the two majority markets (and also two with some of the highest bandwidth speeds in the world), so if streamed content can succeed in these places, I don’t see how this is vastly different than comparing NPD and Japanese game sales as a measure of sales success. Iraq already had a decent wi-fi network setup, and while it had a ways to go until true HD streaming capability where I was (I’m sure there are some places in the country with it), I think you may underestimate the ingenuity and effort of other peoples in similar areas. We’re talking about the people who can afford PS3′s and 360′s with HDTV’s in civilized areas, not people who live in poverty and can barely earn enough to survive. If they don’t have broadband capability now, they probably will within this gen or next.
BORDERLANDS: “SALT THE WOUND!” – Skagzilla, Midget Shotgunners, burning psychos, running down any remaining victims after you shot them with your vehicle’s mounted rocket launcher, and the ability to pop human target’s heads like zits with a revolver… all this and I don’t really care for shooters, but somebody got their shooter in my RPG, and this game rocks.
December 25th, 2009
Merry Christmas (Or happy holidays, if X-mas isn’t your thing) you psychotic gamers.
Lets put aside the Xbox/PS3 bashing today and just enjoy the wonderful stuff we got for the holidays.
So far the only game related thing I got was a 1600 MS point card from my best friend/partner in crime. I’m happy with that. So I ended up getting Gyromancer by Square-Enix which is basically a Puzzle Quest knock off. I checked out the demo and it wasn’t half bad. IT was kinda a no brainer though cause my best friend and I like playing the PQ games.
@Ivan
Nice PC but hella expensive I guarentee it. About 2 years ago I spent $2000 on parts to build my own PC, which is something I always wanted to do since I was a little kid and wanted a computer. For the money I spent I was able to create a better PC that I could have gotten for my money if I went through Dell. I compared the specs and mine blew away Dell’s best PC offering at the time, plus I wanted XP and everything new was Vista. Over time I added a few odds and ends like a Logitech G5 laser mouse and G15 gaming keyboard (No complaints about either), a second HDD, and I just recently installed Windows 7 as a secondary boot choice.(7 is nice. Better than Vista). Eventually I am going to get a new moniter, a surround sound system, and either a second DVD burner or a BR drive.
@Carl
You said ” be sure to sniff the eggnog BEFORE you drink it”
I say “Sniff the eggnog…”
If it smells spiked: It’s fine
If it doesn’t smell spiked: Let someone know immeditately so the problem can be fixed.
You said “do not eat the fruitcake”
I say “Unless of course you have had plenty of eggnog and someone dares you to eat it”
December 25th, 2009
eh mike? i posted a link to this news around a week ago.
December 25th, 2009
I’m confused, or stupid… but does that mean the PSN will still be free but you have a choice to pay for extras or will the whole of the PSN have a subscription? :s
December 25th, 2009
I don’t understand how people can’t understand this.
If it is currently free on PSN it will REMAIN free.
Online play? FREE now and then
December 25th, 2009
“Online play? FREE now and then”
Crystal ball working again…
DLC? “FREE now and then”
BC? “FREE now and then”
Cross-Game Chat? “FREE now and then”
Yeah right.
December 25th, 2009
Wtf is carlb trying to prove now.
PSN will remain free, get over it
December 26th, 2009
360 owner:
†Yay I just got GTA4. I see my buddy Harry is playing Forza 3. Let me just cross-game voice chat and talk to Harry about all those annoying PS3 Fanboys on Blorge while we each continue to play our games. Good thing I had the choice of being able to go cross-game chat without paying!
PS3 owners without a premium service
Not the same thing.
Vek I hope you see how stupid you argument is.

“Good thing I had the choice of being able to go cross-game chat without paying!
PS3 owners without a premium service
Not the same thing.
Vek I hope you see how stupid you argument is.”
How are you going to cross game chat with anybody on the 360, CAD for free?? You can’t even get into a game with friends without a paid prescription (gold). The whole point of cross game chat is being able to talk to people while playing the SAME game. How do you know what Sony is going to charge for NEW feature wise? This article is about a so called survey that may or may not exist. They may very well add that to there premium service to try to attract subscribers? Then again they may not and just add it to the regular psn?
Ps3 owners play online for FREE
360 owners without GOLD are just shit outta luck
See CAD I hope you see how stupid your argument is?
December 26th, 2009
I hope this works for Sony, they need to make money somehow, because they sure aren’t making it off of their hardware, and their attach rate is fairly low as well.
December 26th, 2009
No on really knows Sony’s bottom line, but still, I’m sure it will make them money. People are willing to buy crap in Home after all.
December 26th, 2009
SW:
Sony makes money from games, PS2,PSP PlayStation Home, add-on content the movie store well PSN. They good and next year even better. And yes people buy anything from PlayStation Home that’s why Sony loves it so damn much plus is fucking awesome and extremely fun to use.
December 26th, 2009
@ Ghost
LOL Nice comment
December 27th, 2009
Ghost
You clearly need to learn about the 360 before you talk about it. Yes I know you need gold to play online but you don’t need Gold Membership to have a cross-Game chat. Me and someone else can have a conversation playing the same game or playing different games. We won’t be able to play online together but we can talk to each other no matter what game. You can even use a web cam without gold to have a conversation. You cannot join a party as a silver member but everything I mentioned can happen with a Silver Membership.
“The whole point of cross game chat is being able to talk to people while playing the SAME game.”
Clearly you don’t understand the term “Cross-Game Chat”
And Roca the same lesson goes for you to.
December 27th, 2009
@CAD
“LOL Nice comment”
December 27th, 2009
“You can even use a web cam without gold to have a conversation.”
That web-cam thing I didn’t know about. Hell I don’t even know if you can do that on the ps3 and I own one. CAD I know you can talk to people without being in a game with them and I guess I can see how sometimes that would be convenient, but for the most part if you are playing on-line with other people then I guess I assumed you would be playing with or against them. Therefore the main reason for having cross game chat? I find it hard to believe that many silver members get on-line on the 360 just talk while playing game? And untill M$ lets me play on-line without charging me then I guess I will have to wait to get to know it better.
December 27th, 2009
Ghost
Sometimes I just have conversations with my boys in New York or once me and Toshi had a convo and he is in India and I’m in Toronto. Sometimes I’m just talking with my Peeps locally or my boy who just went to Vancouver or my cousins over in Burlington or Mississauga. I can even talk to Ivan if I want because he is on my friends list or anyone of my Peeps on Blorge. Or just start a party chat and you and 7 of your peeps talking at once but you need Gold for that and you could all be playing different games or the same or what ever combination. LIVE gives you options.
December 27th, 2009
Ghost
You can even go into party chat and watch a movie together with 7 of your friends. You can even jump form a Party Chat to a Solo Chat and jump back and forth between conversations. You can even share pictures in Photo Party.
December 28th, 2009
Blah, Blah, Blah.
December 28th, 2009
CAD lives in the hood?
December 28th, 2009
Lmfao. CAD is a pure nerd.
December 28th, 2009
I would rather have free online play than a cross chat feature. simple as that!
CAD, tell me why cant you play online without a gold membership? online play is free on PC, Mac, PSP, DS, Wii, PS3 and PS2. and it is not like there is any advantage on paying for online play since MS dont support their online games with dedicated servers
December 28th, 2009
“You can even go into party chat and watch a movie together with 7 of your friends. You can even jump form a Party Chat to a Solo Chat and jump back and forth between conversations. You can even share pictures in Photo Party.”
lmaoo seems like there isnt much to play. I sure understand CAD now
December 28th, 2009
Go ahead and laugh because it will be funny when you have to pay to Cross-Game Chat. LOL! Another one on the list not pointed out is Automatic Downloads and Updates. Laughing about Paying to play online is lame when Sony is planning to charge for those features. But the fee has never been an issue to me especially when you consider the amount of Long Distance I have saved talking over Xbox Live. Especially when you can go into a party and have a conversation with multiple people at once you just can’t beat that.

I dont have to pay if I dont want to LMAOOO.
you didnt answer my question though, tell me why you cant play online without a gold membership? or tell why you can’t have netflix access without paying for a gold account?
btw why are you saying it like if Sony is actually charging for the things you are saying..this is just a survey dude lol. dont let it get over your just yet

Roca why ask me stupid questions.
Here is a question for you.
Why does Sony not charge for Online when the cost to run it is depleting their pockets?
Why is Sony going to start charging for it’s online service and create a Premium Level of service?
“The questionnaire proposes four different plans – three of which would cost the user USD 69.99 per year (or USD 9.99 per month) and one for USD 29.99 per year (or USD 4.99 per month).”
Why will it cost more then LIVE?

“Why is Sony going to start charging for it’s online service and create a Premium Level of service?”
online service will remain free
CAD: “Why will it cost more then LIVE?”
because you will have access to Full Title Trial (First Hour Is Free), Free Access to PSOne Classics, PSP Minis, and DLCs and also Discounts on Store Content
now again tell me why you cant play online without a gold membership? or tell why you can’t have netflix access without paying for a gold account?

too little, too late.
sony won’t see much money from this. Since the ps3 fanboys claim “online gaming is free”, there is very little incentive to pay extra for non-gaming related purchases.
their entire business model surrounding PSN is a fiasco, but not suprising given the Titanic known as the ps3.
it’s funny watching the ps3 fanboys justify this pricing model while laughing at xbox live. i’m certain sony would LOVE (need) the millions and millions of dollars that xbox live has created.
it’s even funnier that the only ones complaining about xbox live’s pricing are people without xbox live….

This has got to be the dumbest argument I’ve read here. I really can’t believe you guys are still going at it.
We have no idea what will be offered in the package and whether or not some of those features will be free or part of the paid subscription. Hence survey.
We have no idea what the final paid subscription model will be. Quite frankly I’m looking for a Netflix like service using PSN instead that grants me unlimited access to shows and movies. A Rhapsody/Napster like music service would also be very nice. Better if they could figure out a way of Downloading those to a portable device that acts on a timer for the subscription.
If someone doesn’t like what they offer, they simply do not have to get it. At no point will they be stopped from playing online games, which of course is the biggest difference.
I’m surprised thats there’s not more uproar from MS fans that they have to pay to play online and MS’s biggest competitor offers that same solution for free.

phranc – “If someone doesn’t like what they offer, they simply do not have to get it. ”
why does this logic only apply to PSN and not xbox live? answer: because you’re a flaming ps3 fanboy.
“I’m surprised thats there’s not more uproar from MS fans that they have to pay to play online and MS’s biggest competitor offers that same solution for free.”
PSN does *not* offer the same solution as xbox live. the reason there’s no uproar w/ xbl is because the value is proven…unlike the ps3 and PSN.

But if Xbox done the same what would you say Kev?
Free online with additional features at cost, while Sony charge for everything?
December 31st, 2009
what I dont get is why are they trying to make it seem like if PS3 user are force to pay for online play and all the feature avaialable right now on the PSN.
December 31st, 2009
oldschool – “if”, this…”if” that…shut up, idiot. you can do this “if” routine all day, but it doesn’t change the fact that sony lied again…
PSN is “free” according to sony, their fanboys, and their promises….yet, here they are, getting ready to start charging for things xbox live gives for free….
ouch….
December 31st, 2009
‘If’ you were not a virgin you might be a better person Kev. If.
December 31st, 2009
and hows that an ouch? lmao pathetic fanboy.
