Perfect Dark remastered version info leaked early
Earlier in the year Microsoft finally confirmed that the company was able to wrestle the original Perfect Dark game from Nintendo’s grasp and will be releasing it on Xbox Live marketplace. It seems like more information has been leaked prematurely showing what gamers will be in for.
Perfect Dark is considered by many to be one of those landmark games, which came out on the N64 developed by Rare. The game received acclaim across the board, and is one of the best titles to come out on the N64. This was developed by Rare back when the studio was still cranking out top shelf titles such as GoldenEye 007.
However, with the Microsoft buy-out of Rare, half of the development team left the studio leaving Perfect Dark Zero in development limbo hell. After a long grind, Rare finally outputted Perfect Dark Zero on the Xbox 360 which is now used throughout the industry to mark the downward turning point for the studio.
With the return of Perfect Dark, remastered for the Xbox 360, a new video along with a slew of pictures have been leaked out onto the Web. Someone posted the video and pictures up on Rare Witch Project showing off the latest build of the remastered game, showing a clean looking HD version of Perfect Dark.
Unfortunately, the video and forum post has been quickly yanked, but the pictures have been uploaded to Photobucket.
Gamers will finally be able to get a taste of Rare’s former brilliance in the original Perfect Dark remastered.

OH yeah, this is definately good news. Now we just need Goldeneye.
Only problem with this is that it is a 360 exclusive. I’m sure this will really upset some PS3 fanboys.
Now that I think about it.. Does that mean that Goldeneye would be 360 exclusive too since it was made by rare and now rare is own by MS?

Have to agree with Roca here. I loved Golden Eye. 10 years ago.
The most renowned aspect of the game (MP) has since been perfected by every system out there and pales in comparison.
I’d be more interested in Serious Same HD that’s coming out.

Golden eye was indeed alot of fun back in the day. No other game ever had a MP stage like Complex before or after (that I have ever played). Even the Perfect Dark version of Complex was awsome, especially with the alien sniper rifle that allowed you to zoom through walls!
My fav was the complex with prox mines.
The thought of a redone Golden eye that I can play MP online really interests me. Maybe its not the MP itself that has changed but they way we look at it? WHat I mean is that back was Golden eye was so awsome there were practically no online MP console games, but now almost every FPS has an online MP mode.

But man, the N64 controller was awesome for aiming, and Goldeneye relied heavily on auto aim.
I wonder how it would feel on a more ‘traditional’ twin stick layout with the auto aim toned down.

Perfect dark was in many ways the succesor of the much loved Golden Eye, so it is no wonder that alot of us, including myself, have brought it up. I loko forward to seeing Perfect Dark put out on XBL and it gives me hope that Golden eye will follow.
I actually have a 64 and I own both of these awsome games. I also own Perfect Dark Zero for 360 but that games is just a dissapointment. Luckily for me I have 4 controllers and 3 extra people that I can sucker… err i mean ask to play either game with me.

Back in the N64 era, Rare was by far my favorite developer and the reason why I liked the N64 so damn much. I think that they were better than Nintendo themselves. Banjo, Goldeneye, and Conkers were the games that I knew them for.
Now I couldn’t care less about Goldeneye and Perfect Dark. However, Banjo (the second one in particular) is still unmatched even by platformers such as Galaxy. I mean, really, those games were great.
What I liked about the N64:
-SM64
-both Banjo games
-Rayman 2
-Goldeneye and Perfect Dark
-OoT and Majora’s
-Conkers
What I disliked:
-the ASS controller (IMO)
Rare sort of sucks in this new generation. They should NOT have made Nuts and Bolts: it is a big stain on the series. They shouldn’t even make a 3rd Banjo unless they can match or top the first 2.

If Rare will take the Perfect Dark Zero engine and redo Perfect Dark, that is indeed something impressive for the fans of the series. I was never under the impression this was the case though.
SS was a fun game. Not a great game, but a fun game and that counts for something in my book.

AVS had a couple of insiders threads (they privately and genuinely checked the credentials of those claiming to be ‘insiders’).
On a couple of occasions they descended into a slanging match between a couple of those insiders.
What actually happened & what pi$$ed off the Blu-ray gang was in fact the rules I described above.
By AVS insisting that threads stayed on topic & only those interested in commenting on the relevant article in a non-provocative way were allowed to post it put an end to all the trolling and ensured threads stayed on topic and were about what they were supposed to be about rather than constantly being derailed by the fanboy element.
AVS is an excellent and incredibly wide knowledge base about all things a/v.
Naturally a fanboy shill like Roca wouln’t know the 1st thing about any of this, as his idiotic pronouncements on a/v matters proves.
