David Jaffe’s God Of War III is now just a couple of months away from release. However, some people are already looking beyond that game and focusing on Jaffe’s next project. Although yet to be officially confirmed as such, it’s likely to be a new Twisted Metal title for the PS3.

Heavy Rain is due to be released for the PS3 on Feb. 23 in the U.S., but anyone buying it on the day will have a long wait before they can actually start the game due to a hefty 4.2GB obligatory HDD install.

Sony sent out a press release yesterday announcing a new marketing promotion that involves 7-Eleven and God of War III. This marketing campaign is proof that Sony is expecting huge sales from the highly anticipated title.

Some people think the iPad signals a new era in the way we’re going to consume all kinds of media. That includes video games. But I’ve already spelled out what the iPad means for games and gamers – nothing – and it seems Nintendo President Satoru Iwata agrees. In fact, his opinion on the new device is so dismissive as to be downright rude.

EA recently sent out a rather joyous email recently boasting some impressive stats about Mass Effect 2. According to the publisher Mass Effect 2 has already sold over 2 million units worldwide and it doesn’t end there.

According to reports the two Xbox 360 Grand Theft Auto IV exclusive DLCs have been confirmed to be coming to the PS3. If true, this may be huge news for envious PS3 owners across the globe.

Mass Effect 2 is killing it at the reviews with nines across the board. However, Bioware hopes that it is also “killing†it at the retail outlets as well. The studio is also busy working on some new games.

Alan Wake is truly an intriguing prospect. It’s a game that sounds like no other, looks gorgeous, and if Microsoft is to be believed, will “blur the lines between video gaming and television.” Whether that will actually work as an evocative experience remains to be seen.
