Wii Fit sucks at burning calories
In fact, it sucks so bad at this simple task that doing some housework is better for you. And it’s certainly a lot more useful.
It could be argued that after the Nintendo Wii itself, Wii Fit is the marketing success of the past couple of years. Nintendo shifted millions of units of the lifestyle device to lard-arsed women everywhere. And that despite it not exactly being cheap.
Unfortunately for those big-boned unfortunates out there, it appears that Wii Fit isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. In fact, according to the Daily Record, Which? discovered that housework is better for you than a session on Wii Fit. Ten minutes of housework burns 42 calories, while 10 minutes on Wii Fit only burns 25 calories.
Personal trainer Andrew Colley is quoted as saying:
I can see value in the Wii Fit but can’t say I am buying into the expensive adverts for this machine. The amount of calories you burn will depend on how much you weigh and how hard you are working.
No shit, Sherlock. But it’s still disconcerting to hear vacuuming or washing the dishes is better for you than making a tit of yourself on Wii Fit. It’s also cheaper and leaves your house looking better. Screw Nintendo and its clever marketing techniques.

Dave I think you’re missing the point here.
Housework is not, by any stretch of the immagination fun and Wii Fit, I am relaibly informed by 3 people I know with it, is.
I know you have real trouble understanding what’s going on with the Wii but you’ll just have to give it some more thought as the leading sales continue month by month.

I have a feeling many developers for the PS3 & Natal will buy into this Fitness Crap the Wii started up.

because you have been on that “Eye Pet- hate” for few weeks now…we where all joking around and left the console naming/console war aside until you brought it up.
the Joke was about the all the Crazy peripherals the Wii has…then why bring Sony into all this? if you wanted to joke around by bring another console you should have mentioned MS who whas way more peripherals/add-ons than Sony at a higher price
